Lovie's ability to get everyone to give maximum effort each week, as well as the indisputable edge his coaching gave the defense when it came to creating turnovers, was obviously very valuable and will be missed. The uncertainty over the defense and Trestman's ability to get everyone to buy in is what I am most worried about, although on the other hand I am interested to see what he can do with the offense. It's too bad Lovie failed to commit sufficient energy into staffing the other side of the ball with the best coaching talent possible.
