Agreed. Much more reasonable to think about 50/50. LAKE!

Hanley thought Wittenmeyer was serious when Gordon answered that Lake could be a 60/60 guy.

Putz.

4 people in the history of baseball have gone 40/40

That's absolutely embarrassing by Hanley

Lets list the best power speed guys that never went 40/40 who Hanley thought Junior Lake might be better than:

Willie Mays
Mickey Mantle
Matt Kemp
Daryl Strawberry
Bobby Bonds
Vlad Guerrero

Christ almighty!

Does anyone on The Score know what they're talking about?

Jr. Lake being compared to any above average established MLB player at this point is nuts.

I know Theo has a computer and made The Greatest Deal in MLB History by trading Garza and getting prospects but this whole thing is now bad parody.

I have been trying to say that. The whole Cubs thing is just a touch out over the skis. Not hating either just pace yourself.

He's career will be a huge disappointment if Barry Bonds is not on his Baseball Reference Top 10 most statistically similar players.

Not me.

The Plan™ is to lose every game possible at this stage.

He's the reason to be excited for the Cubs and the reason to pay money to go see him play.

Or so says Finfer and the faithful on this board.

19 for last 38?

Someone should check that to make sure.

Now they are throwing him breaking stuff and he is hitting it.

I am not sure what to make of him yet. He's obviously got tools to offer....good speed, a nice arm, he's a good bunter. But in the minors, he had an overall average of .271 so to reasonably expect him to hit over .300 at the major league level, might be unreasonable. But even if he hits .250-.260 with his versatility and speed, he could be a valuable piece. Maybe the coaching he's getting at the major league has just really clicked and he's going to be more than anyone ever thought he might be. If he can just have some greater plate discipline.....

He's a Journeyman OF, who might start for a year and in his 7th year will play on the Southside after playing for 3 teams.

But the guy is on a Tear!
