The whole Trestman experience is going to test Bernstein's theory of "intangibles can't be measured and therefore don't matter." Trestman is obviously a good offensive x's and o's guy, but I've wondered since the inception if he wouldn't be better served as a coordinator. I hope I'm wrong, but I think you need an alpha male as head coach (Trestman is not one). You don't need an x's and o's guy.

Everyone knows this happens virtually every day these guys hit in practice. Why Florio had to dedicate a story to it is the strange thing unless he has something against Bennett.

I agree it is unprofessional, but the list of unprofessional things in the sports world is quite long.

Just seemed like an odd thread start. These things happen every year with probably every training camp.

They are like little boys in a sand box. Give them enough time and there is going to be fights.

ESPN made it sound like more than just a couple shoves. Bennett had some words after, which were also unprofessional. As a Chicago sports message board, I fail to see how it is an odd thread, but we can agree to disagree.
