My wife bought a four pack. I haven't had it yet, but there is one in the refrigerator.

I found two more Rubeus under the bar.

Deschutes Summer Ale is a really good. Recommend. Just drink it cold; otherwise, the aftertaste is a bit much.

Anyone try New Glarus, specifically Spotted Cow?

I'm told you can only buy it in Wisconsin - anyone know what the shortest trip would be to go pick some up? I'd be willing to make the trip but don't want to travel halfway into Wisconsin, if I can get some just over the border, I think I'm crazy enough to make a quick trip.

Spotted cow is okay. Not terrible, not spectacular. No way in hell am I driving to Wisconsin solely to pick up New Glarus.

Kenosha, good sir, go to Woodmans...it's 10 minutes past the state line on Hwy 50 (and 20 minutes from home)

Spotted Cow is quote good. If you like IPA, get the Moon Man. Also Alaskan IPA. Then laugh at all the IL plates in the Woodman's parking lot from everybody doing the "prohibition run" to get the beers they won't sell in IL.

There's that, but I've found myself enjoying shopping at Woodmans as a whole...except for the produce dept.

Woodmans has the weirdest collection of cheap beer I have ever seen. They had a 30 pack of Beer:30, Old Style Genuine Draft and a bunch of other weird cubes and cases of shitty dirt cheap beer.

Woodman's is great. Wish they had more of them down here closer than Aurora

The Woodman's in North Aurora has a good produce section. The worst part of Woodman's is their deli.

The worst part of woodmans is that you have to use cash, debit or check. Forgetting this and bringing a Credit Card sucks when you have a full cart already before you remember to have brought alternative means.

Their ATMs don't charge fees to withdraw money.

Sitting on the runway at O'Hare, wondering if the 54 cans of Heady Topper I brought back are safe. Stay tuned for developments.

Snuck a 6er of New Glarus Black Top across the border. Might crack one tonight. Not generally a fan of Black IPAs but thought I'd give it a shot since NG has quit making the good beers that they used to for the fruity crap rhubarb beers that they do now.

Organic Revolution was a great beer and Hop Hearty was pretty good. But, why keep making good beer when you can experiment with Raspberry Tart?

Surprised no one took up my offer of the #1 beer in the world. Jackref will be the lone recipient.

Is this craigslist related also?

When I said I may have an extra Heady Topper or two very soon. Guess it was sort of a vague offer. I'm willing to share a couple if anyone is in the NW 'burbs.

Can this meeting be conducted in a public place or would there be vans involved?

How many of you beer snobs are waiting with bated breath for the first product from Off Color Brewing? I think their business model is to make only stuff that does not conform to the Reinheitsgebot of 1516.

They have their beers in a few places in the city already. Their Gose is supposed to be excellent. They are definitely concentrating on abstract styles that aren't mass produced here in the states. They have two excellent brewers so I imagine they will make some great beers.

Do any of you guys use beermenus.com as a resource for finding places that have beers you're looking for, or seeing the beer lists of places you want to check out? What are your thoughts on it? Trying to determine if it's worthwhile to get my sister-in-law's joint listed on there.

Its a great site if the place keeps it updated. If I am torn on a couple places to go I will use it as a gauge to see if I would rather drink at one place over the other. Not sure what her cost would be but if she serves more than just Bud/Miller/Coors it is worth having her look at.
