Sorry QBO,You and I are usually on the same page but I never get all the Murray love. He wasn't that funny on SNL one hundred years ago and I never thought he was that funny in ANY movie he has made but he walks around with a 'tude like he's fricking Richard Burton. I like his brother,Brian Doyle a lot more.

He was funny in Stripes and Quick Change, but the latter was 24 years ago.

He was great in Kingpin. One of his best roles.

Ghostbusters is my favorite movie ever made, and that is largely because of Bill Murray's performance.

Wow. I think you might be the first adult to have Ghostbusters as your favorite movie. That's cool. Not judging. Just saying.

I might be, but I don't care. It's a great movie.

My brother's frat bros were at the same bar as Bill like 15 years ago. Someone walked up to Bill and told him to "be funny." Bill slapped him in the face.

Total straight face, slapped him and walked away. Didn't say a word.

I was out deer hunting a few years ago and we ran across Bill Murray and some of his brothers(??? The only one I'd recognize is Brian Doyle, and he definitely wasn't there.) Anyway, we're kind of hanging out and drinking at one point, and a smaller deer comes walking by, and Bill says "I'll catch him with my charm." We all laugh, and Bill puts down his gun and starts walking toward the deer, speaking softly to it and holding out some jerky sausage towards it. I was surprised that the deer didn't bolt with his first step, but it stayed there, kind of frozen, almost mesmerized by what was going on. Bill gets up to the deer and then gently grabs the antlers. He says, "I'm Bill Murray! Say it!" and then he squeezed the deer and it made a noise like "Billmurray!" and ran away. It wasn't exactly "Bill Murray" but it was pretty good for a deer!

I wish they would've been able to fit Ivo Shandor into the movie the way Ackyroyd's script had...Paul Reubens was going to play him. Would've been really cool. Shandor was an incredibly interesting character.

In fact, the whole Gozer backstory could've had its own movie tied to it. I think if "Ghostbusters" were made in this time, there would be all kinds of tie-in stuff to it. Sure we had the "Real Ghostbusters" cartoon but that really was more like a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" fun action cartoon than something to build the story on.

If it were made today, they'd already be planning the reboot of the franchise starring the members of One Direction w/ Taylor Swift playing the role of Janine.

Stern had Murray on 1-2 years ago and it sounds like studios are perpetually pitching Ghostbuster related stuff. Akroyd needs the money and wants in but Bill Murray isn't interested. It sounds like he lives a quiet life getting high all the time which is really strange because any time you do actually see him in public he is always in full BILL MURRAY mode.

I think that's just the real him.

He's probably like that with his dealer, and his coffee place etc.

The guy just likes to party and enjoy life

Yeah, but that's not what made it so popular. I mean, Akroyd is really dillusional about the franchise.
Without Murray, its just a stupid ghost chasing movie.

No matter how many scripts for Ghostbusters 3 he writes or how many ideas he has about the supernatural, it was a fucking comedy man. Relax.

The Man Who Knew Too Little is his finest work. Such an under-rated comedy that is sheer brilliance.

I wish Belushi wouldn't have OD'ed as he was cast to be the third Ghostbuster.

I appreciate the Belushi love but he would have had Murray's role and there is no way it would have been better

I think it would be great fun to play a round of golf with Bill Murray.

My favorite Bill Murray story is about his Roadhouse related phone calls. He is friends with the husband of the chick from Roadhouse and everytime the movie is on cable him or one of his brothers calls the guy at the point when the sex scene starts to tell him that Patrick Swayze is banging his wife.

I agree Crest. If that happened to my friend, I would consider it hilarious.
