Well, of course.

I'd take Capital Grille over Panda Express any day as well.

But the sweet fire chicken at PE is still pretty good.

I highly question the accuracy of his alleged wealth of knowledge.

His schtick is to question everything and use a failure as an example of a terrible front office.

Sort of like you talking about the White Sox.

By the end of this season, Long might be our best Lineman and one of the top in the NFL. He will be moving to RT before you know it.

Today he was worried about the depth in the secondary. They lost a starter to injury. Yes, of course it is an issue. You lose a starter for the season and you plug in an untested younger player.

Is their another team that has tested veteran DB's sitting on the bench improving the teams depth?

Hub is master of the obvious and poises questions as if he has seen a weakness most dont.

He rarely answers any questions.

And the fact that his criticism of the Bears didnt start until they fired him tells me all I need to know about him.

In Hub's defense and I am not sure why I am doing it he backed off of this statement the very next night and said its against his usual routine to make that claim before a year or two passes.

As a long time Hub ALS'r, I will say once again that Hub is the best Bears/football guy in Chicago media, & is a very good radio show host. He is must listen radio for me. I enjoy the hell out of his shows.

Slow down, Tiger.

This plus 10. I'd give him a regular show over Larry any day of the week. Hell, he'd be a great partner for Mac to if they chose to go that route. That'd be a good radio show, a much better listen than fucking Spiegel and Mac are.

Long eventually being good is not the only part of the equation. If either of Floyd, Rhodes or Eifert becomes a star, that is a blown pick as well.

I always assumed that old dude in the house who yelled at them came out and took care of it when George ran off. He wouldn't have talked her to death.

Also, kind of pervy for that guy to just watch them from his balcony.

No, it sticks out because the level of football you played is not an indicator about how much you know about football. And IIRC, it had to do with a prediction, didn't it? How would being bad on a shitty college football team help him make predictions decades later?

Hub isn't the only who does this - Holmes, Bernstein and others all use this as a battering ram of sorts to question moves made by the Bears. The DB situation is the latest depth issue, and the QB depth is also right up there. How many teams have proven, quality depth waiting to be playing? Not many, and if this depth was so good, they'd likely be starters quickly. If the Bears had used a 2nd round pick on a QB, then these same people would be bitching about not having young LB's. It's really a can't win situation. There are no perfect teams and depth across the league is a minimum. Yes, the Bears should have drafted better over the last 5 or so years, and that hurts their depth and cap allocation when forced to pay for free agents at the same positons (LT) that they keep drafting at, but I doubt it would stop the constant complaining about the lack of quality on the overall roster.

Saying that is dumb though, and as an NFL Expert, it should never be said. Nobody knows if Kyle Long will have a productive or bust-out NFL Career. If the guy goes on to play in 4 Pro Bowl's and is a upper echelon NFL lineman, I don't really give a rats ass if Hub (or anyone) thinks the Bears reached for him still. I'd say keep reaching if you're finding talent like that.

You know, Clarence would have done a better job to reboot the whole thing so that she ended up living the life with Wainwright and George ended up with a much more "assertive" woman in Violet. Violet's spending needs would have pushed George to develop on a much broader scale, maybe even a national defense tech park centered around the new plastics facility. That would have brought in executives for whom he could build grander homes much more lucrative to the Savings and Loan, 0% unemployment, higher wages, etc.

George would be rich and probably much more satisfied in the bedroom. Violet was from much heartier stock so they would have had children who didn't always get sick and most likely could have followed up their uncle as local heroes of the college football world

Eh, Violet was a slut, pretty hot slut, but still, for the time.....

George, at least, should have had an opportunity to eat some unpeeled fruit.
