As I have been saying for a couple of Months now, for the first time in many years, the beloved will finally have a real NFL offense this year, and we saw exactly that tonight. Its nice to see real offensive coaches who know how to gameplan, scheme, coach, and get plays called in less than 20 seconds. This offense is going to be one of the top units in the league and Marshall and Forte might become the best WR/RB combo in the NFL. The Defense doesn't appear to miss Lovie at all. Who knew fhat the Bears D could still get turnovers without Lovie???

10-6.

TRESTMAN!!!

BEARSSS!!!

Raiders are bad. I've been afraid of the defense for a couple years. That shoe will drop at some point?

It's not really Lovie's d anymore though. Why you think that Ike?

I liked seeing the half time piece on Trestmen. Had him miced up in practice. Nice to see how involved he is in the practice. Not unique. Plenty of NFL coaches are like that. Lovie wasn't.

He's a little bit more of a yeller than what he portrays of himself in interviews. Looks like he gets on guys in practice.

Also, nice play calling tonight by Tres. 5 drops. Cutler played way better than his number indicated because of that.

That being said, I think the Raiders suck.

I think I've learned enough about the Bears this pre season to know they won't suck. They'll have at least 8 wins. Could be as many as 11 if everything goes right health wise.

I was not an Url person but he had value to the team. the season he was gone showed it was a vastly different team. That D is old. If they can keep it together I'll be pleasantly suprised.

Perhaps you haven't heard...Lovie is no longer with the Bears. If you watched thr Bears defense tonight you should have noticed the they were much more aggressive, calling a few corner blitzes, and the DBs were playing up with less cushion.

BEARSSS!!!

Prior has potential. Another read-option guy that the NFL now loves. Don't know if he's much of a pocket passer yet

Flynn will be benched by week 7 for him. They'll figure "What the hell?" at that point cuz they'll be 1-6.

No way. Prior is awful & I would be very very surprised if he ever develops into a good starting QB in the NFL. Plus he's on the Raiders, so he doesn't have much of a chance.

I'm drinking Bud Select 55 as part of my commitment to excellence program. Tastes like carbonated water.
Screw it. I'm switching to Titos Vodka now.

Bengals are a top 3 AFC team this season and Cincinnati owns the Bears in their overall history--including a 4-1 record at Soldier Field.

But those 5 games mean nothing in the opener. So that's a meaningless stat. Bengals only come to Chicago once every 7 or 8 years. That record probably goes back to the 80s. Most of these current Bengals have never played the Bears.

They're a talented team. So of course they could win.

That's exactly right. I hate when TV talking heads bring up historical stats like that, as if they have any meaning. Zaidman constantly brings this kind of stuff up as well, and it's extremely annoying.

I forgot how the Bengals were brought up. I think it came about during a debate about the strength of the Bears' opponents this year, including the Bengals. I don't think they're going anywhere this year, but they're no pushover at the same time. As for the Bears, I think the worst they could do is something like 7-9. If they stay healthy, they have enough to go the playoffs.
