Uncle Teary is back, Dan is still mocking Brandon Marshall, Terry made it to Hawaii and was able to score some sweet deep fried tacos.

This will be the worst cocksucking in the history of cocksucking. Think of the way they venerate him when he isn't in the same room! God. help. us. all.

Generally speaking I have enjoyed the show so far. I missed the funeral stuff, but was treated to a schmutzie text or something. Hopefully that was a one time bad experience for me today.

Beni should listen so we don't have to. And if you don't listen, I still won't.

Anybody catch Hub?

" I was wrong on the Long pick. I've been right on stuff, too, for all you yahoos that like to remind me about that."

That's fine, Hub. But you bashed it without even knowing a damn thing about him. And it's your job to know shit. You also said you weren't gonna take it back. Then he played well and you took it back.

We've all been right on stuff. So what?

I honestly want to know what you've been right on. Because you pretty much always take both sides on an issue without really giving an opinion. This is how you protect yourself. Every now and then you say something concrete and it's always wrong. Like your thoughts on the Long pick and the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl. Anybody that thought a Mark Cassell QB team was winning a Super Bowl is a god damn idiot.

I don't remember draft night all that well, but during his self-critique, I thought Hub was trying to make a distinction between how he's incorrect to call him a bust, and how, whether he's a bust or not, the Bears did not get much value for having whatever pick they had at the end of the 1st round. The assumption being you could have gotten Long later on, but of course there's no real way of knowing that.

That's fine. But today he said he was wrong. Didn't even qualify it the way you described.

I don't mind people being wrong on shit. It's just Hub isn't really qualified to be an NFL or Bears expert. The Score could actually get somebody that knows stuff. Christ, Hub's publication was 8 million in debt. He said he wasn't even paying the writers at the end. That's pretty much means he couldn't afford to be in the loop. I heard his PFT radio show last year sometimes. He had his fuckin' son as an expert for the love of God. His brother was a contributor as well. Cuz he didn't have to pay them.

I also thought it was cute to see B&B stand behind Hub. These were the guys that would cue up all of his dumb comments to bash Hub back in the day.

I don't get Hub. There is still plenty of undiscovered evidence that could prove him correct about Emery blowing the pick to start issuing mea culpas. First Long has to play an NFL game. Then, if Sharif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes or Tyler Eifert end up being great and Long never progresses beyond guard, Emery certainly did not maximize value.

Have a sack Hub. I have your back on this.

Listening to the cemetery stuff now. Just so happens I was in one yesterday. Fuck these guys. Instructing people how to mourn a loved one's death now.

I enjoyed Dan's comment about how much "wasted land" is devoted to cemeteries. You know what would look great in place of those graves, Dan? More abandoned buildings! We all know there aren't enough of those. How about another shopping center with 70% of the shops being "available space for rent"? Yes, more of those!

Just what you would expect. Cemeteries are bad. A waste of space. Standing over a wooden box with your loved one rotting beneath the surface is wrong, and you're an idiot for going there. Dan instructed us to visit a place your dead relative enjoyed going to, rather than a spending time in the cemetery. Terry said it's just a way of prolonging the pain of death.

I'm sure Terry has echoed those sentiments to his grandkids and son about their mother and wife respectively. ( providing she wasn't cremated of course )

Do they not understand that a cemetery is basically a public green space that is privately maintained? They are a benefit to the city on many levels. I could make a case for a cemetery on a purely economic basis, which Dan should appreciate.

Anyway, cemeteries are cool. They usually contain interesting sculptures and all have some historical significance to them.

Do you know why cemeteries have fences around them? Because everyone is dying to get in.

I may be wrong on this, but I thought Long's "value" critique applied to Long regardless of what kind of player he turns out to be. Hub is wrong to call him a bust on the night of the draft, but he isn't wrong to criticize the Bears for not getting enough value for the pick. He's backtracking so much that I really don't know what part of his critique he's trying to take back.

I think at this point Dan just spins a wheel that lands on today's thing that is stupid and you're stupid for liking. It came up "cemeteries"!

Cemeteries are huge wastes of space. I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
