I have a friend who is looking to upgrade her grill situation. She has a really old, dirty and clunky gas grill
right now. As she lives in a ground floor apartment with limited space I suggested maybe she look at one
of the newer Coleman portable grills a lot of people use for camping. It folds up and is lightweight. It appears
that for about $200 you can get one new. I noticed it takes the smaller camping propane tanks which is kind
of a hassle since they obviously run out more quickly. Anyone else use or have one and have any insight
on whether this would work for a single mom who grills at least once a week? Does it pay to buy a bigger
full sized CharBroil type unit?

http://www.amazon.com/Weber-Baby-100-Portable-Grill/dp/B0000E6GHIBest portable grill out there.

You can buy a stand for it, and there is an attachment to use a normal propane tank.

Didn't know you could get a stand for it. I'll look into that Rick, thanks.

Those small propane tanks are like, $3-$5. NBD.

I know they are cheap just more apt to run out of gas when you are grilling. Not a big deal overall.

It really is an amazing grill. The only problem is that it only has one heating zone so it's hard to do indirect heating but that can be overcome in other ways and I assume all portable grills have the same issue.

I was going to buy her the grill for X-mas so good to know I have a Weber option. I love mine but no way
I am dropping more than a couple hundred on the gift.

There is a place right by my house that is an authorized Weber dealer and they had these grills so we
were able to check them out first hand. Probably going to go with the 220 version. Thanks again Rick.

I have this one

DONT BUY THIS ONE! Unless youre using it to cook meth or something! It works great for boiling stuff, its terrible as a meat grill.

you will have a half burnt, half raw steak every time. oh, and if there is the slightest wind, you will have even worse results.

then, when youre done, pick it up. the feet will fall off. its very convenient when you want to be pissed off.

No problem. It really is great, though I don't have the stand for it.
