A win in the NFL is a valuable commodity which I certainly cherish.

It sure seems like the media is stretching to create a story line that didn't play out on the field. I guess I just expected to see more from the offense with this being Trestman's big moment with six months to game plan. I was disappointed to see so little different in the game planning end.

The Bengals win that game with a better game plan.

He specifically said the first half was intentionally planned to be bland, and about keeping Cutler up. So the "big moment" you talk about was never in the plan.

The second half was better. They came back from double digits to win against a good football team.

I see it as the opposite GD. We should see more game planning as he adjusts. Yesterday was blocking and tackling.

That is not exactly a confidence instilling statement for me. Lovie could have game planned bland. Most of the big moments in the second half came from Cutler ad libbing than making plays from what was called.

Maybe I am a little jaded after hearing "we finally have an O coordinator" early season reports for the better part of the last 5 years. This was followed by "wait until next week" reports. I guess I'll have to wait for next for Trestman's planning for something above bland.

I think it is great they came back to win but the defense in the second half was the story of the day.

Now I think you're just trolling. The defense in the second half was the story of the day? They immediately gave up an 80 yard drive and a touchdown to put them down by 11.

What I saw were receivers getting open when they were supposed to.

Dare I say it, big boy receivers, literally. The line was better, no doubt, but Cutler was able to get some timing on the drop back/throw without looking all over the damn place waiting for somebody to get some separation.

Correct. There's no doubt it wasn't a perfect game, but they won the game against a quality NFL team, and came from behind to do so. They were impressive in the 2nd half of the game, and turned around a game which wasn't looking too bright.

If pundits are now saying they didn't play a perfect game, or ripping on a particular unit, that's pretty much nonsense to me. They are playing against a team that many of these experts thought would win outright, and too try too diminish a quality NFL win because the defenive line didn't have a great day is silly.

Dolphin as usual is the voice of reason and the board has turned on him for it.
