That really hasn't been proven. It has been proven that he saw it but for a number of reasons they couldn't charge him with murder. It doesn't mean he didn't do it.

No it hasn't. It would be difficult to prove it when evidence was destroyed and with eye witnesses having loyalty to Lewis.
