What's your prediction on this before the season?

Mini Ditka, shut the fuck up. Please stop posting on the CSFMB. Yes, I know I simply can avoid you, but I would rather reach out to tell you no one wants you here. Go post on a bible-thumping board. They will appreciate you more there.

Don Tiny is correct. After this Minnesota game,I'm convinced he is Rex Grossman. No more arguing the point. 3good plays and a fumble,5 good plays and a INT.

ENOUGH!!

Yes, if he meets the following:

12 wins

A playoff appearance

Both.

If Jay continues to pull games out at the end, yes the Bear will re-sign him. He looks better with a real offensive coach & OC.

A fluke return TD and a failed goal line play put the bears in a hole more than anything else.

I started a thread in the off season saying the Bears should lock Cutler up and it would be on the cheap (relatively speaking, of course).

Now he's gonna get what Flacco got.

It matters cuz the savings they missed out on could have been used to keep other players.

Granted, we still have until like week 6 or 7 to extend him. But it still could have been cheaper in the off season.

Does the cap go up next year or the following year? It's because of their extension with the networks. The new TV money kicks in.

When it does, the bar for all top QBs is raised.

Can they franchise tag him?

Maybe Emery doesn't plan to resign him and he just wants to ride this out. If the Bears defense regresses this season having an expensive Cutler may not make sense.

Yeah. But why? You either like him by now or you don't. It will be 20 million on that one year. Jay will be pissed.

I guess it buys you a year if you don't like a QB where you're drafting. So I see it from that perspective.

I do like him. I want him for 5 or 6 more years.

That would be a huge mistake unless Cutler does what Flacco did.

Flacco is a 28 year old QB coming off a Super Bowl victory where he threw for 11 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in the postseason. The Ravens had no choice but to pay him.

Unless Minnesota decides to move on from Ponder the market for Cutler probably isn't that big. A lot of quality college QB's to pick from and a lot of teams that have already drafted rookies or are happy with the current QB.

Jacksonville will go young as they aren't in win now mode.
Oakland will go young.
Tampa Bay could be a good destination.
Philadelphia may be the best destination.

The rest of the league is pretty much locked in to starting QB's for next year.

If Cutler keeps on playing like he is, then he'll get resigned, but the Bears would be stupid to offer him Flacco money. The Ravens will regret the Flacco money and he deserved it much more than Cutler does.

It is going to be a good QB draft class but a guy may not be ready immediately to start.

I am sticking with my prediction of AJ Mc Carron.
