there's no competition for mr. greek.... if my guys are working i get vip status.... they'll see me in that epic ~2-3am line extending all the way back to the entrance and know i'm only there for a #1 sauce only (i mean who goes to mr. greek GYROS and gets a pizza puff? fucking inbreds) so by the time i pay i've got my gyro and i'm away.

I really appreciate any food after 10 PM when I don't have to read a Mini Ditka marketing post. I'd eat cabbage for an entire day, if you were to go away. Rhyming.

Thanks for the recommendation... I'll pass this along to my brother's family. They're out late in Chicago at times when taking my niece back to Loyola, after her visits home, and will enjoy some top-flight gyros (we're a Greek-American family!).

Burger King
Mcdonalds

The thing I like at Gene & Judes is the french fries. Although what they offer is not that different from most local hot dogs places with fresh cut fries. I think there is a certain "hype" factor involved.

Eating late seems like a sin. If you can't bang dudes, you shouldn't be able to eat chalupas after dark. MD, start a petition for the almighty.

When I was running on the SW side I had to places that were go to. One was a hot dog joint Nicky's on about 58th and Kedzie. The other was El Gallo de Oro for steak burritos about 63rd and Sacramento. From what I understand they are still there but cannot vouch for your safety.

I grew up close to Kings & Queens & probably ate there at least twice a week as a yute. Another great place just 1 block West was Carms Beef.
