Apparently some fella on reddit had nothing better to do with his time than to redesign all the NFL logos. I thought it sounded pretty ghey but checked it out .... if indeed the guy did this himself and it's all original, I'd say there's some really nice work to be seen .... also, why in the hell isn't the Colt's logo fashioned like that already ?!?

(I also, sadly, think the Packers' design is pretty strong)

I like most of them, except the Charger. Don't mess with the bolt motif

Some are pretty cool, especially the KC and 49ers ones. The Bears one looks too much like a Cubs logo.

You can tell when one person is trying to do too many assignments in a short timeframe because it all looks so samey.

Well, are you familiar with horseshoe-based superstitions?

Most football clubs used the area baseball team name as a starter (e.g., Cubs -> Bears, Giants -> NY Football Giants) so one might argue it should have a passing similarity to it.

I would suspect there should be some similarity to the logos ... they aren't competing against each other in the sense McDonald's and Burger King do .... it's like branches of the same corporation (which I believe, legally, they are).

I disagree (not on the legal aspect, which I'm not smart enough to plumb). I think it's important for sports leagues to have a continuum of brands from the simple and timeless to the progressive and flashy. I think it's good that the Bears look like a team that has been around since the 1920s in a major city (which they have), while the Seahawks, as a younger team in a less "established" city, have the freedom to play around with neon colors and fancy Nike innovations. Same with hockey and the Original Six compared to the Southern teams, though the Lightning and Hurricanes have kind of ruined that by trying to look like the Leafs and Wings.

There's no defending that Jacksonville Jaguars helmet, though. What'd they do, run out of paint?

Horrible. And I agree with the fact that way too many of them look too much alike.

I'm not sure I'd be happy for my team representation to be a guy "milking" a male bison

I thought the Cowboys and the Raiders were excellent. The Bears one was weak. The Browns should have a silhouette of Paul Brown as it's logo.

The Oakland Raiders already have the best logo ever.

A few teams need to go back to an older logo.

But so many of the logos are perfect and should never ever be changed.

Bears
Packers
Cowboys
Raiders
Redskins
Lions
49ers
Colts
Steelers

I don't think the Redskins' logo is perfect at all. The Indian's skin tone is so dark as to blend together with the black outlines/details, which makes it pretty muddled. Then, the Indian head is inside a circle, which has feathers on the side, which throws the whole thing off-center. From a distance, or at small reproductions, what you'd think would be the focal point of the logo is just a little dark blob off to the side. They should just use the helmet spear as a logo and get rid of the Indian.
