That all said, Jay has one of his Jay games on the road at night. Steelers 21 Bears 16

35 years of watching Bears makes me say Steelers 27, Bears 14.

I don't know about that final score. Over the past 40 years, the Bears are 37-23-2 on the road when they play at night vs an 0-2 team with less than 100 yards rushing for the season. Given that enormous sample size, you gotta like the Bears' chances.

Bears are 2-54 when I start to get excited about their chances.

If by Jay game we mean one of those 3+ INT nights, I think he's had about two of them over the past three years. There was a 4 INT game against Washington in 2010, and a 4 INT game against the Packers last year. I'd argue that there is no such thing as a "Jay game" in that vein, since the Bears are actually 30-13 with him as QB over the same three year period.

You enjoy SF on Monday night last year. Maybe you forgot Jay during Kapernick's coming out party

Not sure what you mean? I don't think Cutler played in that game. It was backup vs backup - Cambell vs Kaepernick.

That wont happen in Trestys high % offense.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if it happens, he's already got three in two games. Sure one was sort of bad luck and whatever, but when we count the totals at the end of the year we're not going to care about context. He also started with the Bears in Turner's WC offense and threw a bunch of INTs back then, so he's certainly capable.

What I meant in my original post is I don't think he fits into the "Bad Rex/Good Rex" mold. I don't think he throws you out of games like Rex did.

Hester takes one to the house, Marshall and Bennett catch 2 TDs each, Jay rushes for a TD. Scorehead bitches because Peppers has 0 sacks and Forte fumbles again.

Lots & lots of people are bitching about Peppers. I was just one of the first to notice & point it out.

I agree with you on these points.

What they are missing is that the Steeler D has only given up 16 and 20 points. This is like the Bears under Lovie. You always have a chance if your D is going to keep the other team under 20....Bears 42-0

Fuck, I just thought about it...this being the only game on at the time, I'll be compelled to make a play when I otherwise would have stayed away. This one is going under.

Hatchetman has me thinking about my current excitement level, and the last couple times I have watched the beloved play in Pittsburgh. Me thinks Pittsburgh has a very good chance to win this game.

That's a good point, although I'd say holding Cincy to 20 on the road is more impressive than the TN game. It's on the offense if the Bears lose because I cannot imagine the Steelers' offense scoring anything more than 13 points (unless there are TOs, returned kicks, etc.)

Yeah, I heard Biggs this morning talking about the Bubby Brister 1989 team starting 0-2. I'm old and even I understand that is completely irrelevant. That was a quarter of a century ago.

I'm with gd. As bad as the Steeler are believed to be, they've yet to give up over 20 points. There's reason for concern for a team going on the road for the first time in one of the more hostile road environments.

Bears - 1 BILLION
Steelers - 6

Bears get a safety.

This is a game I would hope Cutler plays very conservatively. I don't think the Steelers can win unless they win the TO battle. Let Forte win this game for them.

Cutler has had some good games at night, too. I wonder if someone has a list of the bad-Cutler night games, because I'll bet most of them have been against Green Bay. I think GB is more of an issue for Jay (or the Bears in general) than night games are. Could be wrong.
