But to answer you question Hatchetman, I agree with you. He hasn't shown anything besides for some closing speed on a sack once the QB has broken the pocket. They should try him at LB first, and if that does not work, just cut the losses.

Let him play his way off the roster at least. He has become a "specialist". Let's see what he does for a set of downs. To replace Melton,I'm sure they can find an angry, fat Samoan off the waiver wire that can at least stuff the run.

If DT had an ass like that, I may have spent the night at the Darkside Estates.

He clearly cannot play every down. I think that has already been determined. The pass rushing specialist is still TBD.

It took me forever to figure out why so many men were looking for tutors.

I didn't understand the studying technique, though.

It gives a whole new meaning to Dutch Treat.

Split it down the middle now sounds creepy.

I just like that Trestman will want to try him at any LB position.

and if he works out. Lotsa explaining by ALL the Chicago Bears experts. Hub, Dan Pompus, JD, Ole Red,

At least try him during camp. he seems to be able to run with TE's, he has dropped back into coverage.

I mean, he is obviously a FAIL at DE. I don't see why anyone (Hub, et al) would be opposed to trying him at LB. Can't be any less productive to the team.

Single most influential player in the NFC north this season. He did end Rodgers and the packers season. He wrecked ponder as well didn't he?

honest question: do you think Rex Ryan would figure out a way to make him productive?

I really don't think so. His football instincts don't seem to be very good as he cannot even master the simple such as staying only as deep as the deepest. He is constantly getting suckered. His only contributions in the run game is when he is chasing.

Still, someone will give them a 6-7th rounder for him. I would take it to make sure he is out of the division and actually becomes a productive player in a 3-4. Maybe someone will trade their garbage for him. How about Stephen Hill from the Jets for Mc Clellin?

Hill is as big as Jeffrey/Marshall but much faster. If you can coax the talent out of him, you can let Marshall walk after next year.

If Emery dealt him for a 6th or 7th, that would really say something about Emery. Not sure what, but something.

He's not worthy of a roster spot on this team next year. His only salvation in the NFL is if one of those 3-4 D that liked him before the draft think they still see something. He is a training camp cut otherwise. He's already been surpassed by Bass in my opinion and I fully expect them to be drafting a DE fairly high next year as well. He would be buried.

Its a damn shame emery tried to get cute with this pick. "Experts" and analysts all thought the bears would go with Chandler jones or Whitney Mercilus who were 4-3 DEs. Comparing Shea's stats to them is a fucking joke. Chandler jones has been an absolute monster this year for the Patriots now that he is healthy. Emery spews the bullshit that Shea is "making progress" while Chandler Jones is winning AFC defensive player of the month honors. That pick looked like shit then and looks worse now.

He blew it on that pick.

I'm getting a little worried about the 2 young LBs also.

Alshon and Long have saved his ass.

Yes but Ratliff got a big bump in snaps played. Probably trying to limit the guys off the couch outplaying everybody else.

Put McCellin at FB. Maybe he can fade into oblivion, take a roster spot and make Emery feel better about his terrible pick.
