Anyone ever sit in these seats ? I am fortunate enough to be attending the White Sox-Red Sox game next weekend, and will be in those seats.

I'm assuming it's a great experience, but what are the perks of the seating area ? Is the view unbelievable ? Any other relevent information is appreciated!

The big perks for scout seats (I've had the opportunity once) - private parking area, separate entrance, access to a private restaraunt with a premium dinner and a cool walk in near the clubhouses. You can also get food delivered. It's a great experience and I'd hate to know what they charge for a season ticket for those seats.

Been dying to sit in those seats since they started it a few years back. Let us know how they are. I'm hoping that I can get a few for cheap late in the season when the Sox are completely out of it (even more than now), playing Kansas City, and I can pick them up for cheap on stubhub or something.

That was basically my attitude....We paid good $$$ for them, but it's a Saturday day game, and I'll be getting loaded. Hopefully the game lasts 4 hours since this is not something I'll be doing often.

How much do they run if you don't mind me asking (hate it when people ask that to me). "How much did you pay for your house if you don't mind me asking". "How much did you make last year if you don't mind me asking". Did you get them face value or broker?

No problem...The ticket says $250.00....there's 4 of us (all buying their own), but I was able to get the guy down to $220.00 per. I went through a friend of a friend of a friend to get them. I believe I have access to the Jim Beam club lounge as well

I sat in them last year, and it was incredible. Beforehand, there is an all-you-can-eat buffet, and a shelf liquor bar, all included with the price of the ticket. Once seated, you have a server and a menu from which you can order, again, all included in the price of the ticket.

Needless to say, the view is awesome. It's also very convenient with the hot dog guy just roaming around through your section and being able to ask for 4 dogs "just in case you get hungry later". You're also free to go in and out of the buffet area, though it is somewhat of a hike between there and the seats.

The only downfall, as I saw it, was that the servers would get frequently crossed up with their drink orders, and when they did, people when asked if they'd ordered an MGD or whatever, would often say "No...but we'll take em!", and the servers would oblige. This meant about an inning or so between a drink order and actually recieving the drink.

But it's a small complaint for what was otherwise an unbelievable experience. Have fun BD!

That does sound pretty sweet. How long before the game do you suggest getting there to get as much out of this as possible ?

Not bad at all. If I can get that price or close to, I'll get a few seats for later in the year then. Are they hard to come by now that they're out of it or are they pretty available? Just got a new digital SLR camera and could get some bad ass pictures from that close I think.

I have wanted to try this out for the past couple of years. I knew the price was steep and could never justiry that amount. Someday I will sit there but not now.

BD make sure you call all your family members and wave to them throughout the game. It's really cool when you do that and all the TV viewers will know you are important because you are on television.

never had the scout seats, but i did sit in the "coors clubhouse" [/zimmer] clubhouse [zimmer] at coors field in the 2006 season for a game, and it was pretty much the same as what ive read of some of your guys accounts of the scout seats. its a great time, but it sort of made me feel like i wasnt at a baseball game. being waiting on hand and foot, etc. thats cool here and there, but part of going to the game for me is waiting in line for my kosher dog with onions, and flagging down vendors for beer

it is really fucking cool to see a game that close up though. you really get a sense of how fast the game is, and how talented these guys are to be playing a game like baseball day in and day out

Speaking of the scout seats, anybody know what the story is with the guy that wears the bright yellow m&ms jacket? i have seen him there the last 2 seasons dirctly behind homeplate, 1st row. i even remember seeing him sitting courtside at a bulls playoff game.

I know who you are talking about. It looks like it is a leather jacket. I have seen that fucking guy baking away back there in that jacket during day games when it is 90 degrees. I hope to hell that he is getting paid to wear that thing. How about the poor people that have to sit next to him? He must stink like shit by the 6th inning on a hot day.
