Twitter is.... well, atwitter with all kinds of rumors and conjecture that the lions and giants are working on a deal that would send Hakeem Nicks to DET for the recently joique-bushed illini alum, Mikel Leshoure.

If this goes down, this is all kinds of "oh shit" for the bears.... cuz i'll give you that Hakeem Nicks isn't prone to stay on the field.... however, if he's on the field and playing at even 75% (and believe you me, he has experience doing that) the dude is a legitimate beast that's >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> nate burleson and when you team that with megatron, dude, i dont care if peanut and jennings are there at full strength..... you're fucked.

peanut does a great job of containing johnson to the point of letting him get his 100+ yds but buckling down in the endzone where johnson doesnt have a chance to get his legs extended in the open field. so if peanut's able to neutralize him in the endzone, if you add a 6'3"-6'4" potential-#1-WR in nicks.... dude....that's a fucking PROBLEM for the bears.

so yeah.... let's hope this isn't true, especially if he shows up this week and peanut is still gimpy/out.... cuz if you've got jennings marking megatron then it's..... zach bowman on nicks? yikes. going forward, the lions might be able to outscore their turnstile defense and their numbnuts coach, which means they'll be at that 10/+ win area again and assuming the packers get on a ~5 game winstreak at some point in the season, it could be rough sledding for the bears.

I'll go out on a limb and say it doesn't happen.

Player/player deals rarely happen in the NFL, especially in mid-season.

That would be a good pairing but aren't the Lions in all kinds of salary cap problems.

Also, doesn't that sound like a bad deal for the Giants, a team with a front office not known for bad deals?
