Regarding the situation, the more Spaulding explains, the more it seems like you are concerned about what the other neighbors think. Fuck them, 4-5 kids and one parent is tough. Even if it isnt the money aspect, just getting a home cooked meal is good. Those kids cant control what their dad did anymore than the other girl can control that her parents died.

This is true.

I know of a house recently in a somewhat "comfortable" neighborhood. The house was vacant for a short period of time, and several of the neighbors participated in a systematic "stripping" of that house simply because they disliked the former tenants. They took everything: blinds, AC unit, light fixtures, leftover furniture, etc. Most of the offenders had jobs and homes of their own. It was a sad and disappointing display of humanity.
