Yeah, I'm going to start looking for a new job because Rick on the message board thinks its a good idea. I'll get right on that...maybe I'll even put down bigfan as a reference!

You're still wrong. Companies have all sorts of rules. You think its crazy that you can get fired for having just one drink? Would you prefer to fly (in a suit coat, of course) with a pilot who has had a drink? How about ride a bus from the hotel to the airport with a bus driver who has had one drink? I'm sure that somewhere across this country there is at least one transportation company that has rules that state you can get fired for having just one drink or blowing anything higher than a .00. In certain situations, its not crazy at all.

We have company vans. I am probably not the only poster here who drives or has driven a company vehicle. For us, it is immediate termination if you are caught operating a company vehicle without wearing a seatbelt. I don't think that is crazy at all.

Should I continue to prove you wrong or will you finally, just this once, let an argument go?

Haven't had that. The only pumpkin beer I really enjoy is Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, and that isn't sold here. Pick up some Anti-Hero next time.

I saw they have Anti-Hero in cans now. A couple friends of mine were over there for the Deth's Tar release the other day.

I thought the bearded savage holding the pumpkin sixer in the airline attire thread was JORR. This guy here looks like a fun-loving scumbag!

Now, why is Frank arguing absolutes with BRick when it's quite clear he was speaking generally? The Radio Shack story was the perfect example of firing someone for something bigger other than the stated reason.

This is so stupid. You are continuing the argument and then getting mad at me for continuing the argument.

Here is an idea. You stop responding instead of looking foolish getting all mad I respond to direct responses.

Anyways, I'll respond quickly as to help you out. I already mentioned that you shouldn't drink if you are operating heavy machinery so your plane, bus, and company van stuff is irrelevant. Next.

So, next time you "prove me wrong" make sure your argument isn't completely invalid. Oh, sorry for responding and now forcing you to respond to me.

There is more alcohol in a splash of hand sanitizer than there is in miller lite so that doesn't count.

Well, I'm not a beer snob. I had never looked for it retail before and just happened to see it. I'm surprised that craft brewers don't subscribe to the idea that a can "colors" the flavor.

It is actually better to can the beer vs bottling it. Light does more damage than anything to a good brew.

I don't know. I usually only see him at OTB, unaccompanied by females.

Yeah, that's where I saw it. I just happened to glance at the shelf. I guess I normally wouldn't be looking at cans at all.

Not at all true.
A company isn't going to fire a guy who had a beer at lunch. They may give him a warning but you don't just fire an employee for something like that.

Unless, leaves work early to "pick up his car from the mechanic" and you find him drunk as shit in the local tavern an hour later during work hours

But that's a different story...

Not everyone works in an office setting. I would assume you would get your ass fired in a second for drinking at lunch if you were a factory worker, machinery operator, manual laborer..... Don't most unions (players excluded of course) have a drug and alcohol policy that strictly prohibits this?

Cans are the way to go. A lot of craft breweries are trending toward canning their IPAs. And for god's sake, leave them in the can while consuming!
