USA Today ran a poll last night that showed that 80% plus of homosexuals are hoping the Pirates beat the Reds tonight. I'm not trying to tie-in your preferences for the game tonight with their poll results, but that is almost a statistical anomaly.

The key for the Reds is getting Choo, Votto and Bruce on base. Liriano is a monster against left-handers.

There should be times when you can assume a double play and that was one of those times. The pitcher did his job by inducing a perfect double play ball but Phillips fucked it up. A run scored that should have been prevented and the pitcher has to face extra hitters. Should be a team error and an unearned run.

There were roughly 3,750 grounded into double plays this season in major league baseball. So why can't you assume a double play? It's obviously not a rare occurence. The pitcher is being penalized for a play that should have been made. The official scorer should start hangin an error on an infielder who doesn't turn a double play.
