I do not understand why anyone who lives in Chicago would ever go to Litttle Ceasers, Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Papa Johns.
Its all crap.

Scorehead, not everyone can afford $20 for pizza when 3 of the 4 chains above offer a Large between $5-8.

I still, VERY RARELY, get Pizza Hut or Papa John's. And less so Domino's and Sarpino's.

I wouldn't ever choose to go except for price and convenience...sometimes you are with some buddies and you want some cheap, quick pizza.

If you get an Extra Large 3-Topping at Marino's (my favorite local joint) you're looking at $26.

edit: I lied. $29 for 18" 3-Topping.

Sarpino's is gross

Agree on that.

Back in the day when I worked at Blockbuster, me and whoever I was working with would often split one for lunch or dinner. $2.50 for a meal is pretty sweet deal.

I do not understand why somebody who lives in Bartlett would drive all the way to Oak Brook just to eat dinner.

We like good restaurants. There are good restaurants in Oakbrook.

And some people like Domino's or a $5 Hot & Ready. Who the fuck are you to say otherwise?

It's much easier to get to Oak Brook from Batavia, than Bartlett. 88 all the way.

WAYNE'S. I went to the Wayne's on Northwest Highway (I assume there is a more northern location you frequent) to pick up my pizza and stood there tugging at a locked door for about 30 seconds before someone took pity on me and let me in. Apparently you're supposed to enter through the back door. Why would I do that? Why would you lock your front door? The pizza was okay. Good, not great. Not good enough for me to ever show my face there again, I'll tell you that much right now.

I am honestly intrigued by this Little Ceasars fight. I used to eat a lot of these back in the 80s
when you would buy one and get one free. I honestly don't think I have had a pizza from here
in 15 years. I drive by one almost everyday so I am going to have to stop in and pick one up
and give it a shot, maybe even tonight on the way home from work. Nothing wrong with a little
cold pizza in the fridge for the weekend.

Who's going to Outback Steakhouse for a great steak this weekend?!

It's not great by any stretch (I'm a Hut guy), but for $5 it's perfectly fine for a quick pickup after work when you're too tired to cook.

I'd rather buy a good steak from the butcher, and cook it myself.

Understood. I will go in with relatively low expectations but also take my rating into consideration for pricing
and convenience. I generally am not too picky when it comes to what will essentially become left over weekend
pizza. I am with you on the Pizza Hut but that might be because I worked there as a cook for about a year and
a half as a second job for a while and got to really liking the product. I still haven't been able to knock out that
20 lbs I gained working there and bringing home a pizza every night I worked for myself and roommates.

J. Alexander's has great steak. There's one on the Near North Side (skypoint, Cabrini Green) and one in Oakbrook.

I also like Texas Roadhouse.
