Good explosion to the hoop, looks fine, needs some timing back, it will come not worried about that after last night.

How about the outside shot? didnt see any? if you are out for 17 months, I hope to see that the shot improved?

only 3 other players played fewer minutes. after being off for a year and a half, you need to ease into it i guess

Even more impressive was the fact that he didn’t feel tired, making him temporarily resentful toward Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau for not allowing him to play the minutes that he was promised.

“The third quarter. He told me he was going to give me eight minutes. He only gave me like five, so I was mad about the other three minutes,” he explained. “I knew they were watching me the whole game and I did what I needed to do while I was out there, showed them enough so that I can still be ready for Monday’s game.’’

“It was good,” Rose continued, now talking about his stamina. “I was able to push the ball the way that I wanted to, put pressure on the defense, and it kind of surprised me that I didn’t get winded the whole time I was out there, so I guess I’m steadily building it along the way.”

I think the Bulls will go as far as Dunleavy can take them by the end of the year. Did anyone see Rose's latest Addida commercial?

very non-classy. I wonder if his brother approved of it.

My point is Rose is a sensitive soft puss. I give him 30 games before he clutches his back and drags that into next season.

Didnt love the commercial. If you are going to drop that kind of 'Look at what I have" i would like to see a ring before he starts acting like he already has "Everything".

Tired, not tired, still didnt take a 3.

That commercial sends a nice message to the kids. I'm surprised the NBA hasn't called him in on the carpet. I'd advise him to stay out of the hood, where they kill you for no reason. Flashing your junk in someones face can get you killed.

Man, stop being stupid about it. Before last year, his toughness wasn't in question. Granted, I think all the criticism he faced last year was warranted. But quit acting like this has been his reputation from day one. Derrick Rose, prior to last year, has been one of the toughest players in the league. The fact is, he blew out his knee, got spooked, had people in his ear telling him not to play, so he didn't play. That shit is over with. He's back.

This is preseason people. In baseball, a pitcher goes into a preseason game and works on his cutter, or his fastball, or his jock itch. WTF. Rose worked on his explosiveness. "Do I still have it. Can I do it."

Answer is yes. You will see the 3 point shot and he will miss them, then he will make them. It is preseason people.

Pre-Season-People.

All hail the Bulls and such.

Rose is from the hood, & his friends are hoods. Heck, he paid for a gang members funeral. He's a fraud who has fooled many. He's a hoodlum.

If a Scorehead had a couple extra dollars, and knew someone that didn't that happened to be close to him at some point in his past, I wonder what a Scorehead would do?

I am guessing it would be nothing. Screw the hapless chap.

Another person of greater quality might reach out to the family to assist in taking care of the expenses.

Could've fooled me. Well not the "My use of the English language" but the other part.

So saying that Rose is from the hood & that he & his friends are hoodlums is racist? Ok...

It belies an inherent inability to look past an individual's socioeconomic/geographical profile and actually judge a person's actions on their own merit. Which is pretty much the definition of a racist.

Actually you said more than that.

Rose is from the hood, & his friends are hoods. Heck, he paid for a gang members funeral. He's a fraud who has fooled many. He's is a hoodlum.

It is like you are declaring that he is from X. He has friends from X. He helped these friends from X. Therefore, he too must be X.

How does he help where he is from? If this story is true, can he not show compassion for a friend, or for that matter his mother's friend's kid, or both. Is that wrong? So many variables you cannot comprehend. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about if you choose to judge someone in dire circumstances. Thank your lucky stars you don't understand and you and your family most likely never will. Walk away now and know you really don't know what you are talking about.

Wrong. Socioeconomic/geographical profile should have nothing to do with it. Judging a person on their own merit & actions is exactly how one should be judged.

IMHO, Derrick's toughness/heart should never be in question. If there's one champion-caliber trait that you've gotta give Derrick, it's heart cuz the kid has that in abundance. Going back to the ECF dance with the Heat in 2011, Derrick stepped up and took all of the blame for the series loss.... and he was right. For better or worse, Derrick surveyed the situation and didn't see a way that the team could beat the Heat without him going superman, so hey did and they did and it turned into a (predicted) 4-1 loss. I remember after the game in his presser he was insisting that you put the series loss on him, he apologized to his teammates for ball-hogging, and he moved on from there.

In terms of his actual game, whether it was saturday night or before the injury.... Derrick plays with a lot of heart. He's not afraid to go into a situation with low expectations and try his hardest to turn it into a positive. Hell, in the pacers game alone he purposely went up and challenged hibbert in the hole ~3-4 times. He stood there and took a solid charge in transition like he wasn't worried about his knee at all. When he could have easily pulled up for ~12ft jumpers all day long (HINT HINT DERRICK, THERE'S SOMETHING TO ADD TO YOUR GAME) he was consistently penetrating to the hole with reasonable success, which was always his game in the first place.

The kid played his ass off through a bunch of injuries in 11-12 and was still leaping with reckless abandon up ~15+ to the pacers in round 1 of the 2012 playoffs.... he went as hard as he could go until his knee gave out, and now he's back and stubbornly/marketingly/whateverly playing that balls out aggressive game that he's been known and loved for his whole time here. Following twitter during #TheReturn I noticed all of the chicago sports talking heads officially proclaiming him back, and some (drinky) even went as far to say that there are to be no more questions of the knee cuz Derrick is 100.0% back and don't you have any contrary opinions...... that is, unless Bernstein tells you otherwise circa 1pm =D

So yeah, if there's one thing you can't question with Derrick it's his heart/courage/etc..... It's easy to get caught up in the hoopla of last year's #NonReturn and be like "WTF U PUSSY GET OUT THERE" but in the end if Derrick comes back as near to 100% as he seems to be then who gives a fuck cuz it's not like the Bulls were going to win with a ~75% Derrick last year anyways.

Any soreness should have been evident four months ago, unless he injured/re-injured something...this is going to be very bad for Rose and the Bulls.

You have no idea if this is going to be very bad or not.

Sure there would be soreness 4 months ago, but soreness is still likely at this point. In fact, he will probably deal with soreness the rest of his career. Veterans take off preseason games all the time.
