Very weird situation. From what I gather this is not his son that everyone knows about. I have no idea if he is married to his other kids' mother or what else is going on. None of that changes the awfulness of was done to this child.

Judging by the way these stories are written, I am assuming that this kid was a love child that was not part of AP's life. I would guess he just paid the child support, but had no other contact.

His other son, AP, Jr, you see him with quite a bit.

Apparently he isn't sure if the kid is his, and even if it is his, Gawker says he's not really in touch with the child and the child's mother.

This is not an excuse for comedians, but let me tell you how my mind thinks...

I value human life, and this is an extremely sad story. But I am so inundated with all of it that it becomes a blur. If I get so upset about this individual circumstance, am I to also get upset about the 1,000 other kids in the world who died that same minute?

My mind eventually shuts down, to the point where the only time I get emotional is if it's my own child/nephew/friend and I have a personal relationship. It may sound cold, but it's true. I can't focus in details. I can only focus in "big picture", statistical data because the details become overwhelming.

This is a sad, sad story, and no amount of jail time will be appropriate, but I'm just explaining how my mind focuses. I don't think it's right or wrong (how people perceive things, that is; not the beating of a child).

This is such a horribly sad story. The world & humanity is in a terrible state these days. How can someone possibly have it in themselves to beat up a 2 year old child? I just don't understand. The poor child was innocent. The older I get the more I believe in an eye for an eye. Who wouldn't want to volunteer to wail on this asshole for a few minutes?

The thing I can't understand is the 2 year old thing. I have heard of people suffocating crying babies or shaking them from frustration or substances. Also, men and teenage and up kids type confrontations. But a fucking helpless 2 year old. Barely able to walk and talk. Looking up and wondering/saying owie why are you doing this to me? How do you do that with a toddler looking at you and begging? Evil.
