Who are you guys going to be paying the most attention to during tonight;s bears-colts game? What players do you want to see step up, and who do you think WILL step up and grab people's attention? Does the game mean absolutely nothing still even tho its the colts again?

Overall thoughts tonight?

I'm pretty sure that if the Bears win this game that they get to take the Super Bowl trophy with them.

I'm interested in Greg Olsen, Devin Hester on offense, Garret Wolfe, and our starting safties vs Manning.

This game is not a Super Bowl rematch. The Bears are just playing a team in blue shirts. Nothing more. I hate some of the stupid media who says it's more.

I just want to see Tommie Harris tonight. See if he has that same explosion. Other then that I want all the starters out after the 1st quarter. No injuries.

Marc Bradley and Ced Benson

Both have shown me they have NFL caliber talent.

Both need to consistantly perform

Benson + The O-Line (especially if they toss in a couple backups)

I will be interested to see if Tommie Harris is anything close to his pre-injured self, if Archuleta is as slow as I fear he may be, and if Mark Anderson can generate a pass rush as a starter instead of just as a sub.

My top 3 to watch:

1. DE competition: Who will show to be the two starters?

2. Special Teams: Can they improve off a subpar first game?

3. Battle for #2 QB: Is Orton ready to step up into a backup role?

Dusty Dvorecek on the D-line, also any backups on the O-line.

Heard in the pre-game Tommie Harris isn't playing because of general soreness. John Tait is also sitting out again.

he is fucking up. I havent seen much that would lead one to think it wont be similar to last year for Rex, with possibly the same result as last year for the team

 I agree with Nas!

Wins in the end are what counts, but I'd take Rex at 50-60% completions if it meant his TD to TO ratio was about 2-3:1, rather than the 1:1 or worse it was last year.

Just master the fucking exchange from under center, for Christ's sake.
Maybe Jerry should have looked at the size of his mom's hands before drafting him, WTF. We should not be seeing fumbled snaps as often as we do with this guy, even in preseason. Jesus Christ, enough already.

I agree holding the snap is important. I still want to see more shotgun so I don't have to worry about him getting the snap from 5' 10" Kruetz in 3rd down situations.

Ah, the magic shotgun. The cure for what ails ya. We just need to see something.

The only people saying that are Dan Bernstein, and an extremely small percentage of fans. There's really no reason why the Bears shouldn't have it as part of their offense, especially with Grossman's repeated fumbling problems with the exchange.

That's only partially true. Almost all teams pass better from the shotgun then from behind center over the course of a season. That could merely be indicative of the fact that better passing teams use more shotgun, but it is statistically significant.

I agree, but butter-fingers could fumble a shotgun snap as easily as he can one from under center.

I'm referring more to the 'magic shotgun' because Bernstein uses that term, mockingly, to mean it would solve any problems with the offense, and to just have fun with the callers.

I don't doubt that, but at this point, I'm willing to experiment some with it.
