I'm eagerly awaiting Great Lakes Christmas Ale. Also, speaking of Lagunitas, where is Sucks!?!?!?!?

Except, earlier this year, Lagunitas said Sucks would be released in October, in its new 32 oz format.

Great lakes christmas ale is fantastic. I only was able to have it once before the store ran out. Getting on top of that early.

I had it once...when do they usually release it?

Speaking of, Sno Angel by RAM is good wintery Weizenbock.

Tried Singha beer from Thailand at the Chicago Beer Fest last Saturday. It's very tasty (if you like pale lagers) and at Binny's.

I'm no great reviewer by any stretch. I'm not snobby or pretentious enough, but here goes.

43.2 IBU
5.8% ABV

Comes in a can with black and blue coloring, similar to the Outlaw (black and red), SideKick (black and green)

This is certainly not your typical wheat beer, and it is much different than Ebel's Weiss, the other wheat beer from Two Brothers. Dark brown in color, with a nice head, which leaves a nice lacing on the empty glass.

Very floral nose, due to the Citra hops, which are also used in the SideKick Pale Ale. Hints of wheat and caramel. Much more pleasant than the usual bananas and cloves in most wheat beers.

Very smooth taste. Good balance of hops and malts. Citrus taste on the front end, wheat and caramel on the back end. Very drinkable.

I am probably not the most objective person to rate Two Brothers beer, because I am a frequent patron at the Warrenville Tap House, but they did a really good job with this beer.

So is this similar in style to Gumballhead with added caramel for color?

Different nose due to the different hops, and much more mouthfeel. But, not a bad comparison.

Finally found a pale ale I liked.

My brother in law took me to two brothers brewery for a beer. Had the Sidekick. Very tasty.

I don't know why this photo is so jacked, but it's not balck like Guinness, it's like the brown color that you see at the bottom half inch of the glass. Darker than the color of the stain on the bar.

Spanky is an ass bag. He's the one who chastised BRick for attending a beer tasting.

He wasn't "attending a tasting". That was part of the whole bit.

After finally trying some Two Brothers beer a few months ago, I found a place that sells multiple types way out here! I asked if they had any beer from Revolution and they said "No, I've never heard of it".

Makes sense. Per this site (which isn't always up to date), Revolution is sold only in IL and OH. Two Brothers makes it out to NY. Check it out for yourself.

Also, has anyone seen Brown Shugga yet? I'm seeing people reviewing it on BA, but I haven't seen it in any stores around me. Sucks is right around the corner!

Had the Green Flash Green Bullet triple IPA yesterday. Not quite as smooth as the Imperial but it will knock you on your butt at 10.1%. I'd get it again but that's a Dr. Ken Special "I'm gonna sit right in this chair the rest of the night and take a nap"-type beer.

More of west or east coast type?

It's West Coast. It's good but at $2 more/bomber versus their Imperial double IPA, I'd probably stick with the Imperial. I just haven't seen it lately.

I have a Ninja vs. Unicorn from Pipeworks in the fridge at home that I'm looking forward to. Also, a Chasin' Freshies from Deschutes featuring Amarillo hops that I'll be popping this week sometime.

I liked the Chasin' Freshies. Can't beat a fresh IPA bomber at $5.99. Well, technically, you can, but it's a far better deal than Pipeworks, FFF, etc.

I really like Deschutes. I'm a bigfan.

Except for Chainbreaker. Wanted to like it. Didn't.

I've not had Pipeworks, but one of my friends says it's one of the best around. Sometimes quality over quantity.
Lagunitas "Hop Stoopid" is pretty good for the price....under $5

I would agree with you about quality over quantity. However comma Pipeworks is basically priced the same as FFF when it comes to bombers. Dreadnaught and Arctic Panzer Wolf completely blow away any Pipeworks I've had. Like you said, Hop Stoopid is a much better deal and only slightly worse in quality. Only time I buy Pipeworks now is when I'm trading. People in other regions seek it out. It was awesome getting 23 beers from a guy in Virginia last week in exchange for four bombers.
