Cater-Williams is impressive.
I'm disappointed I didn't draft him in fantasy.
yeah for a guy who's supposed to be a raw project, i reckon he's showed a lil !!! now that he's got the chance to shine (and seriously, if you're into that sort of thing here's a kid who doesn't have to worry about winning and can basically go out and have a go at being "the guy" to build up his skills) and in the first game or 2 you've gotten this:
Michael Carter-Williams 18.0 PT .480 of 12.5 FG .600 of 5.0 FT .500 of 6.0 3P 5.0/0.0 RB 8.50 AS 0.00 BL 5.00 ST 1.50 TO 2.50 PF 34.2 MN 2/2 GS
and tonight you've got this thus far
Michael Carter-Williams 19 PT 8-15 FG 1-2 FT 2-5 3P 1/1 RB 7 AS 0 BL 2 ST 4 TO 1 PF 27 MN (02:29 3rd*, Bulls)
so yeah i sincerely doubt the kid's gonna shoot .500, or even .480 for the season....you figure he's gonna end up in that 45-46% range (you know, LOLDENG career-high-season territory) and that's being generous in assuming that the kid isn't gonna hit a wall once some more tape gets out on him, otherwise you're looking at that 43-45% range which is just your average run of the mill volume chucker. but hey if the kid's gonna average 12.5 shots per game (and FFS he's already got 13 shots up b4 the 4th quarter tonight. but don't worry, hinrich is in to put a kibosh on that) on a team that's basically looking for anyone to step up and show a pulse for next year / the-future..... welp c'est la vie, the world is your oyster mister c-w (i wonder what his favorite tv network is?)
but mannnnnn..... the bulls aint gonna blow this game tonight, are they? whatever positives you got out of that sloppy game w/ the knicks (including that gamewinning shot that featured derrick running up at 2-3 bigs and landing a floater that i wouldn't recommend taking) would be gone and thensome and if you lost another say 2/4 games going forward, we might be approaching crisis!
there's also a small teensy eentsy little part of me that wants the bulls to fail to make the playoffs somehow and get another lottery pick rigged up for them so derrick can get a proper running mate.... like jabari parker!
