Sure, we all rip on the guy, but people still pay him to do commercials and move product! even if some of it is his own, they pay him to be part of it.

You would think his reach is only chicago, but I just saw a new OVERSTOCK.com commercial and its a Ditka press conference commercial.

It's quite a run for anyone to be that well known for over 30+ years now.

EA Presents Ditka2015?

People make fun now but I give him much respect. Monetary wise I would guess Madden is the only other coach to be bigger then Ditka.

The problem with the EA Ditka NFL video game franchise was you always needed a second controller for the other side of the ball.

Still the best coach the Bears have had since Halas. No one else has come close. Lovie choked in the SB because he let the Off. coach call plays that were reckless.

He started that with that Grabowski music video. One jealous SOB!

As much crap that Ozzie caused,he insisted on giving all honors to his team and stayed above the celebrations.

That game looks bad, not "Tom Landry Strategy Football" bad but bad.
TLSF was the absolute worst. You didn't even play the game, you just called plays.

john elway's qb for NES was uber levels of awful. he deserved a better game than a bunch of space men wandering around a grid iron.

My bad.

The only thing i ripped on him for was Mike Ditka Resorts. When they had commercials of Ditka bringing towels to guests. Lol

And if you check out trip advisor, its one bad review after another.

Ditka has got to be the #1 non QB football endorser of all time.

Through hard work, dedication, screaming and good mustache, Ditka rose from the rural coal mines of Pennsylvania to live a fruitful and storied life. He is a true American success story.

I don't think a Ditka game would work. He'd shut down having the players in it because they get paid.

"Ditkacare" was the worst celebrity endorsement Chrysler ever had.

I'll concede he probably would have at least been able to hire a competent webmaster.

Funny how both each only won one title. Madden at least had the common decency to quit while he was ahead. And had an actual talent to fall back on. And didn't oversee the destruction of his team.

And I don't recall Madden pulling any Ray Meyers (losing in the first round with allegedly superior talent) like the Great Ditka did.

And I think Darrell Green is still running....

It's quite a run for anyone to be that well known for over 30+ years now.

EA Presents Ditka2015?

Not only is Ditka still making money being Ditka, others are still making money on the back of Ditka. Superfans are doing national TV ads.
