Agreed. If they don't any bad play from Cutler will be greeted with a shit load of boos.

Bears have to play "Lovie Ball" at a very high level tonight. The offense has to keep the Packers off the field. We need Forte to be at his best. The long runs are nice but I would prefer if he did damage on 16+ play drives.

Well, Rodgers being out helped a little.

But they didn't play "Lovie Ball" They threw it 41 times. In fact, 8 of the first 9 plays were passes. That last drive was mostly runs, but that was for obvious reasons.

They controlled the clock. They played conservative on offense and Forte played a major role in the ball control offense. We saw an 18 play drive. I don't think the Bears had 18 offensive plays the entire first half in Washington.

Peppers was great tonight & I cant remember ever seeing a backup QB play a well as McCown has. Ever. He was unbelievably poised. Let Jay sit out another week. Great win for the beloved. First place!

I wouldn't call it conservative. It was classic west coast offense.

What would you call conservative?

Mostly runs. Like I said, the first 3 quarters were majority passes. Then that last drive was mostly runs which made it looked more balanced.

Just saying, Trestman ran his offense.

Also, it's not conservative if you go for it on 4th down on your own 30. That's anything but conservative.

Okay. We just see it differently. I think many of the passes were "safe" passes. Some were the equivalent to a run. They were not trying to throw the ball down the field. It looked like a Kyle Orton offense but with better weapons.

Come on! One decision doesn't mean the game plan wasn't conservative.

I have to agree with Beardown. They weren't conservative at all. They straight-up ran their offense.

Yesterday created more questions than answers:
-McCown has outplayed Cutler. What does that say about Cutler? What does that say about Trestman’s failure to maximize Cutler’s superior natural talent?
-An injury to the best QB in the NFL has put the Bears in a good position for a playoff berth. Seattle and San Francisco are waiting for the Bears. Bad match-up. Is this 2012 Vikings 2.0? Will a string of fortunate events delude Emery like it did for Spielman?
-What is the defense? All of America knew the Packers were running and they tractored through.
-Can a Super Bowl be won with only one functional phase?
