It was confirmed by Rodgers that it's a broken collar bone. Ok. Cool. Then he says no time table. Why not? There's always a time table on a collar bone.

I think he has an additional injury that means he's out for the season. Rodgers knows it. Packers know it. Packers are keeping it quiet so future opponents will have spend the week preparing for him.

Because there's further testing to be done today. He mentioned it on his show.

I was thinking they did not want the full disclosure out to avoid any entanglements getting another qb or something.

Maybe Rodgers is depressed.

Why would that matter? They know he's at least out for next week and have to pick up somebody. Flynn or Young are the two logical choices. Don't think there is much of a bidding war for them. Nobody else had a QB go down this week.

I didn't know if football has the waiver block thing that baseball has. They said Flynn needs to clear waivers.

Maybe it's all being complicated by the evidence that implicates him in the murder of Odin Lloyd.

There is a waiver structure. Based on records worst to first. Worst place team gets first crack at Flynn since he was just cut. Anybody could sign Vince Young since he already cleared waivers with nobody wanting him.

But I still don't know why that means the Packers have to be secretive. It's clear they need a QB this week. Other GMs know it. No team is gonna take a guy on their roster if they don't actually want the QB.

The blocking in MLB is for trades made after the deadline. Guys who are already with teams, obviously. The Packers are looking to sign a free agent. So you can't block a guy who isn't on a team.

Corey Blanchard is available and it wouldn't cost that much traveling from Whitewater.

Alright, now the consensus is pretty much 4-6 weeks for Rodgers.
