I have always said that all the "favors he did" all came with the caveat, you have to now take Mike's side in all fights! He proved that true even during the 5 mins Mac let him come on the air and blab about some producers Baby Formula,,, still wondering who that is.

for sini review...some people were a little overzealous with the North hate. It went beyond simple bashing on the board and started moving towards communications with his sponsors. There was more to the story that I am forgetting.

Bigfan, I know you know North is more than simply a guy who won a lottery ticket. He had a great show that changed sports talk in this city. There certainly was luck and bullshit involved, but he put out a good product for a while.

I think it went beyond that but I don't know. It was a little much but North sounded like a goof for threatening leagal action.

Yup, he was great when he was himself. But then his ego took over, he thought he was bigger than the whole media, and broke up his show w/ jiggets and the heavy fuel crew and thought he would make it with his heavy political solo show on a sports station.

Walking from the SCORE was just nuts,no matter the paycut. He would probably still be there today. A lot of what North says was tongue in cheek. I would much prefer listening to him than LoHo talking about his gym exploits.

I agree that he could still be there. He turned down 800K and the contracts probably would have gone down considerably after that but it still would have been good money at a legit sports station.

I still have a feeling Mike has one more run in him at either the Score or ESPN.

I hate to say it, but I miss Mike in the mornings on WSCR. Mully and Hanley give solid spots talk, but it just kind of...newslike. North for all his warts was entertaining. Mully and Hanley nearly put me to sleep on my way to work each day.

It had been a while since I watched one of his videos on Northtonorth. Cracked me up seeing him wearing the same freakin' hat as Charlie Sheen, trying to act as if he's even half as popular as Charlie! And in a 1 minute spot, he repeated the same sentence at least 4 times.

I stopped watching. Pappy might of been groundbreaking at one point, but now he's a joke.
