Yesterday's loss will be a learning experience for Trestman, which I believe will make him a better coach. To go for it on that 4th and 1 that failed was him purely trying to "out tough" Schwartz and it backfired.

It's obvious Trestman's system is good and will work with most QB's. I think seeing McCown succeed in it proves my point. Bears should move on from Cutler or at the most franchise him for a year.

Trestman made a huge mistake in playing Cutler yesterday, and I hope Trestman has seen the light. Cutler has tremendous arm strength and mobility, but he is injury prone and will be liability waiting to happen for the remainder of the season. McCown should start at least the next two to three games and then reevaluate.

Forte is not a special RB and I think the Bears need to move on from him as well. RB's are a dime a dozen and many run harder than Forte does. How many arm tackles yesterday knocked him for a loss?

I hate the Detroit Lions and hope they all die in a fire.

The two play calls for the tying 2 pt conversion were bad.

Forte is one of the top 5 all around backs in football. He had a bad game.

Not fucking with you Nas, just trying to cover all bases. What if McCown gets the chance to start somewhere next year and leaves? Cutler could at least fill the void for a season or two while the Bears look for a new QB to bring into Trestman' system.

He just doesn't impress me with speed to the edge, shedding blocks or making guys miss.

Besides I am a dumbass and you know that.

I just see no reason to pay him $15M+ at this point. Trestman and his staff appear to be really good at getting QB's to fit in their system. I imagine you can find someone for half that price to competently hold the job until your rookie QB is ready.

He doesn't have top end speed. I think he's the best receiving back in the game and easily one of the best blocking. Every year he seems to be at the top of the league in total yards.

Forte doesnt lift his knees! he is often tackled by his legs, one handed, guys just trip him up. He looks like he is about to bust one and then 'flop'.

No, you do not franchise cutler. Let Cutler walk after this season. i agree on forte is nothing special , backs are a dime a dozen. Trestman fucked up against giants not taking the three n it nearly cost em the game. Same dumb call yesterday did cost them the game. this ain't canada ...take the 3 dummy.

That was the worst decision I ever recall a Bears coach making in 35 years of watching (no, Doug Flutie was better than Tomczak obviously).

That pretty much torpedoed the season right there. Horrible. I like the guy, but man, how can you not realize after a quarter or so that Cutler was a liability out there.
