Here is what I have found:

-I agreed with Hatchetman that Lynch isn't a Heisman candidate. He won't be invited to New York, and he has no chance to win. I did accuse you of being sensitive, which at this point, seems rather obvious.

-I said NIU is a nice story, and I would rather see them play in a big bowl than Notre Dame or Oklahoma.

-You said that you weren't being sensitive, because I used too many words, and typed in red. Then you said it would be bad if I admitted that I was wrong, if I was proven to be. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

-You said "let's drop it, and play Words". I agreed.

-Lots of people said things, but you only respond to me, so it is obviously about me, for some reason.

-I disagreed with Seacrest's notion that NIU hung around, despite the stats and scoreboard dictating otherwise.

-You said that FSU was as good last year as they are this year, because Manuel was the first QB drafted, and FSU had more players drafted than any other school. I disputed the relevance of that point, but said nothing about you.

-I said that FSU was better this year, because their QB and defense are better, and they are mauling everybody.

-You accused me of no longer being even keeled.



Is that about right?

I watched that game and have no bone to pick with NIU. I hope they do great and run the Big 10 when they play them if they can. But FSU made them and Lynch look awful.

Elections have consequences.

I mean, yeah, I get that it's annoying when their fans start popping off about being third place in the Big Ten or whatever. But it seems like most of the antipathy for them is just coming from the fact that by the team itself being better than most mid-majors and some actual majors, they're disrupting the natural order of things, which college football fans seem to hate more than anything. It's like how everyone was so mad that the Big Ten would have a championship game because then there would be a game after Michigan and Ohio State.

Anyway, even if we're supposing that fans of Boise State and NIU and Hawaii and whoever else is allowed to crash the party for a few years at a time weren't overly enthusiastic and deluded about it, everyone would still shit on them. And even when Boise State beat Oklahoma, which was a an all-time great finish to any football game, everyone was like "yeah, well, you still have low academic standards and you'll never really be us." Who are "we"? Who cares? This gets dumb.

While I would say being down a touchdown in the 4th is competitive, I could also see having watched the game at no point did it ever look like Free Shoes University would lose.
