Alcoholism causes you to buy cocaine from a guy on the street?

How many beers do I have to drink to lose the ability to not buy cocaine from a guy on the street?

This. Makes you do a lot of things without putting much thought into it. If he was drinking when he
made the buy the excuse is somewhat plausible. I know it sounds pretty weak when you read it on
paper.

I think alcoholics do a lot of shit unintended when sober. Everything from buying coke to blowing paychecks on hookers or casino and waking up monday going wtf did I do. As an aside this is really true with drunk driving. They lose the ability to think correctly I think.

Well, of course that's right. Only an asswipe would drive knowing he's dangerous. And plenty of people do that sober. For most of us, we don't think we're too fucked up to drive. If we did, we wouldn't.

Just now as I was posting this a douchebag almost rear-ended me. I'm pretty sure we're both sober.

So either you're admitting texting while driving, or you're admitting something far more salacious ...

i don't think so, at least given my personal experiences with weed. drinking makes you more straightforward and visceral, whereas weed tends to make you think from a different perspective.... which i can see technically being a distraction to people of lesser cognitive powers (such as the plate-chucking chick who wigged out after smoking during the whitehop festival weekend in galesburg dec 2001) really, it's not the same as the visceral deluge of seemingly-good-ideas that accompany drinking.

I've had alcohol on multiple occasions. How have I been able to avoid buying cocaine?

Spend a week at plus .25% BAC and have a hot chick at some dive bar you have no idea where you are in ask you to get some?

A page of excuse making for a GOP Congressman buyin cocaine instead of demanding his resignation. Who saw that coming?

(Quick glance at the posters)

Never mind. Totally saw that coming.

I simply know people I could see this happening to. I do think a lot of people use it as some sort of bs excuse and I don't give a shit about this congressman. There.

Your intial post is dbaging his excuse making. Posts following yours justified his excuse. If this was a random D Congressman there would have been 3 pages demanding his immediate resignation before midnight. If you deny that then you really don't follow this board very closely.
