Finally announced his retirement today.

Thank you for finally getting around to this. 25 years or so late, but still better than never.

Seems a bit much, but he probably could have left 10 years ago. I guess if a company wants to pay you seven plus figures you might just hang on for a while though. :)

I'm more sad to hear that Dierdorf & Hart's steakhouse closed.

I've always liked him in two man. On MNF it was terrible but that was almost all three man booths suck. Too much fighting and talking.

i think just like drafting Joe Smith #1, it was a reach to have him on a #1 broadcasting team....he's not the worst but in the last several years when he was on CBS's #6 team or whatever, that suits him fine. i'd rather hear him than Brain Baldinger

I still like Stockton. He's definitely lost his fastball over the past 5 years, but he still calls a solid game.

Yes, but he screams out "Lisa Vincent" when he's nailing her

To this day, I can't remember whether the pitcher is named "Jorge Julio" or "Julio Jorge." One's his name, one is what Dick Stockton thinks his name is. I hear his voice both ways.

suffice to say you'd be dead if you played in a fantasy baseball league deep enough to where charlie furbush was a nice addition to your playoff squad down the stretch, eh?

So that series gave us Julio Jorge, Adolfo Soriano, and Alonzo Ramirez, correct? ANd yet none of those were as good as BALL FOUR! STRIKE THREE!
