No. My stance never changed. Just stop it. It was always about choosing between two different systems. Of course I'm not opting out of the national playoff to play in the equivalent of the Alamo Bowl. My whole point was that a national playoff of more than 4 teams DESTROYS the Rose Bowl! :lol:

I don't know what you are talking about with the golf thing. However, given just how bad you are at comprehending this basic point I doubt you are telling that one accurately either. Defense in golf? :lol:

So, I searched for it, and it seems like conns flat out made up the part of "defense in golf" on his own.

He is the only one who mentions defense at all.

Yeah, that would be fine. A friend of mine's kid plays club level rugby at Wisconsin-Whitewater. At that level they are a superpower. The guys playing actual Division 1 rugby look just like D-1 football players. A match between the two would be absurd. And it isn't always the schools you think that play at the higher level. For example, I think Whitewater regularly beats Michigan. But the thing about the club level is that there isn't really much oversight. Sometimes teams show up with guys that don't even attend the school. But my buddy was telling me that one team kept using these ringers so the other clubs voted and told them they could go play with the big guys.

the best part about lack of oversight is the post games...which are really the best part about playing rugby

The state of major college athletics is just awful in Illinois. NIU & Eastern Illinois should not have the best 2 college football teams in the state, but they do. If not for NIU, we would have nothing locally to get enthused about.

Scheduling Purdue probably lowered NIU's strength of schedule.
