thanks br17; now i've got the indelible image of thibs in some extremely-flattering ancient soldier getup with only his trusty broadsword standing with him against the endless hordes of GIANT. BLACK. WANGWHIPPERS.

Thibs for J Kidd + 33 BILLION RUBLES + Bob Kraft's Super Bowl Ring + Edward Snowden.

Dump Boozer and Deng for whatever.

Amnesty DRose.

JKidd gets to learn how to be a head coach in the NBA on a now-lottery team while Thibs reunities with Pierce and KG.

Standing Pat means this group will win the Championship somewhere down the road,I don't think they can even win a conference title.Personally I think if there are no changes this team is on the down turn.

I think trading Deng for two decent workable parts might help. I wouldn't flip everybody. There is no such thing as trading for draft picks unless you are talking 1st round. So maybe get a couple of good bench guys for Deng might help.

Two workable parts would mean two guys making half his salary. Cuz the money has to be even. Two guys making half of Deng's salary aren't difference makers. So, like I said, the best thing to do is have his money come off the books and get a free agent. Maybe Carmello Anthony. He might want out of NY after this shitty season for the knicks.

Any strategy that leads the Bulls to firing or forcing the resignation of the best coach in basketball is a terrible one.

JR won't blow the shit up. 40 wins keeps the skyboxes paid for. 15 doesn't.

Basketball coaches are extremely important. I am sure you know that. When you have the best you don't get rid of him. This isn't a video game.

How do you expect to "blow it up"? This isn't a video game. There is a salary cap.

What team won the last two Championship and where does this boob become important?

Last year the team with inferior talent should have won the championship. Just so happened the 2nd best coach in basketball had a brain fart.

Thibs gets the most out of every roster he has been given. The Bulls were not better than the Nets last season with all of their injuries but he pulled the right strings and pushed the right buttons.

I don't closely follow the NBA, but when in recent memory did either of those teams have a player the caliber of Derek Rose, lose him either through injury or trade, and then blow up the team? He then said "How's it working for Orlando since getting rid of Dwight Howard?" But, how many titles did Orlando win with him?

He also said "Do you want to take your chances at being terrible for a few years and then hope the ping-pong ball bounces your way?"

Isn't that how they got Derek Rose in the first place?

I listened to that also and had the same reaction. His stance is apparently to stand pat and hope for the best. Which, while the opinion is dumb, is fine, except he was going all Bernstein with comments like "I guess I'll be the adult in the room...", etc.

Fuck him. I don't understand why anyone pines for him to get more air time.

Things to consider:

1.You can't amnesty Rose because his contract is under the new CBA
2. Boozer is going to get amnestied so it would be foolish to take back bad contracts in a trade for him and you won't get a #1
3. You can trade Deng but it would have to be for expiring contracts and a #1 or it would be foolish. That's going to be tough.
4. Why would you trade Noah? He's still young enough to help you and he has a good contract.
5. You would have to take back crap to trade Taj and that would be stupid
6. The Bulls will have about $30M in cap space next summer
7. Mirotic will be here next season
8. Bulls won't be bad enough to miss the playoffs

So we're answering a question with a question? I answered that when I created this thread and I just outlined why a "fire sale" isn't realistic.

Bulls should be able to get 2 really good players and 1 great and some role players with that money in the offseason. They will be in contention next season no matter what.

Noah
Butler
Mirotic
Taj
Star Free agent
2 good free agents
Roster fillers

Derrick Rose

Exactly, MM. If that's his opinion, fine. However, his reasoning and the examples he gave were, in my opinion, poor, AND -- and this is my biggest problem with him -- he acted like such a childish little bitch if anyone disagreed that it made for awful, unlistenable radio. I don't expect to agree with everything a host says, but if you try to head any differing opinions off at the pass by acting the way he did I am not going to listen.

Just about everything Dallas Winston said about Spiegel in my sig applies to Hood, but Hood sounds more small-market, unprofessional, and much less intelligent while doing it.

You, my little dementia patient, don't have to wait for any such stipulations two pucker your chapped lips and introduce them to either of my homegrown, robust, white cheeks.

Your lips - my ass - be there.
