According to Reinsdorf today the experts predicted this team to be a high 80's win team. He used that as evidence this team was to be good.

2005 the 'experts' predicted this team to have 72 wins. Then the experts didn't have clue and 'If they were so smart' they would have a job in baseball'

I guess its like the ratings being flawed. Introduce it when it works and ignore it when it doesn't.

baseball prospectus had the sox pegged for 72 wins this year. give any team a few injuries, and an unreliable bullepn as the sox have had to deal with both, and you can take off about 15-20 wins from pre-season "expert" predictions.

as for other experts (ESPN, writers, ETC), i could see them saying the sox will win 85-90 games, but im sure nobody expected them to be this bad.

It is timely because North just elecited this information in an interview today.

Of course they suck this year. That has nothing to do with it. It has to do with Bigfan gleefully taking every possible shot that he can at the White Sox, Kenny, Reinsdorf, etc. while they are down. He has probably posted more in the White Sox forum in the past three weeks than in all of 05 and first half of 06 when they were rolling.
