Its an event that should be at the new Chicago Dome! Ergh, I mean, Oh yeah, anyways...

Its just too big for one area of the city too handle and the event should have been cancelled out of last years mass pukings, but now you are messing with Tunneys other major contributors, THE BARS!

Bagels, you better think about where you are parking for this one well ahead of time.

So Wrigleyville outdraws Sox games even in the offseason?

 Right, because having 30,000 drunken Christmas elves in the same building would be so much better...

Come on out to ELF night! first 15,000 folks dressed as Elves will get a signed Robin Ventura Jingle Bell, Paulie will be dressed in his elf outfit helping kids build toys in the fundamentals deck and Jose Abreu will be trying to figure out why his cleats have this turned up spiral on the toe tips.

This event is UNREAL. The single worst day of the year in Wrigleyville! Just funny that this is not a concern to the Alderman, but the Cubs games are. This event is so bad that they need security guys every 50 feet on Clark to make sure people dont run drunk into traffic, all day. This is the single biggest day of vandalism, puking, pissing, shitting, etc. 30,000 expected!

30,000!!!! and its ALL DAY. Bars open at 9AM, Puking starts at NOON

I am going to WI that day.

I've never heard of this one either. Although it doesn't sound all that different that the old South Side Irish parade. Funny how one's been cancelled (then sanitized...for the children) & this one chock full of stupid has seemingly never gotten any citywide press.

Southside parade is pretty similar to this, but yes, its not for the kids.

You are supposed to donate a wrapped kids gift before you puke. I know some that wrap up beers, pot, etc and drop it in the box.

Regardless, thats a ton of presents. Gotta take at least 2 or 3 semis to move them? I would like to see Santas Teamsters card!

Eh. It had gotten a LOT worse over the last 2-3 years before it was cancelled. The Daley-est part of that whole cancellation was that all of the people that were arrested that last year had their cases thrown out because none of the cops showed up to court.

It does get a bad rap, but its been cleaned up too. This TBox shit sounds like hell. But oh wait, the northside of the city can do no wrong. Hopefully nobody gets killed on Saturday because that might be the only way this thing gets the heave ho.

That song pisses me off. "No cover charge" but when you go to his bar in Rosemont, there certainly is one.

I thought cover charges were strictly for overhyped college bars, dance clubs, and strip joints.

The SS parade was "free". Festa is making a killing of these dumbasses, but I'm sure he makes a nice "contribution" to the local alderman. Or maybe just orders a bazillion cinnamon buns from Ann Sathers and donates them to the needy?

The nice thing about Toby Keith's is the nu-country music and alcohol put the ladies in the mood for cowgirl, reverse or otherwise.

We went there a few weeks ago for a birthday. Had dinner and hang out for the night. Good news is that if you're there before like 8 or so, there is no cover. The management in that place is borderline special needs. Had a party of 16 crammed into a booth meant for 10. Said that was all they had available...when there were a bunch of empty tables. Second complaint...ran out of Shiner Bock. For a shitkicker wannabe bar, how do you run out of a good Texas beer? Third complaint, and the worst offense of them all...dinner comes, and they bring food to 10 of our 16. The waitress proceeds to mumble something about a few more minutes for the rest...and waited for what became a total of an hour. Manager never comes over. Sends the waitress over 4 times...he wouldn't even come over when he was asked for. My guess is he was too busy trying to pick up country bar skanks that want to pretend they're "country" but really are trust fund babies that grew up in an urban locale.

Anywhoo, it turns out that they lost the rest of our order, and didn't want to admit it. His first offer was 10% off the food bill. My cousin that works as an operations chief for a different restaurant group came in (she had something else going on so she couldn't make dinner) and found out what was happening, and went to seek him out. End result was comped food, and 3 rounds of drinks.

Damn shame, the pork chops were good, and my wife loves country music, but she even said that she's fine never setting foot in that place again.

I will say that there are far better options in that park, the Hoffbrau house chief among them.

The T-Box official website has to be one of the most poorly designed/ugliest I've seen in recent memory. There's a wall of text explaining how to purchase tickets to a fucking bar-crawl.

Also this from an event that starts as 8:00 a.m.:

"Remember that if you choose to drink, Please * Drink * Responsibly and in moderation. "

there are no trust fund babies in the middle, middle class suburbs that place is pulling from

Hoffbrau is good but definitely has the potential to be Wrigley northwest.

I went to Toby Keiths before a movie when it had just opened. The service was lousy then as well
