I hope he doesn't get a job or he gets one and it's a train wreck. He screwed up the Bears for years to come.

Seriously though, please elaborate on this. I have no idea how you would reach a conclusion like this.

Their schedule was weak last year. The defense is old and has/had no replacements for years. His defense was based on 4-5 key players on defense that were freaks at their position. If 1 went down in any year it struggled. We have shit on d right now it most of it is because of him, and we always had shit on offense. A lot of that was because of him.

You have shit on defense right now because you have like 37 injured starters on that side of the ball. It really is that simple.

No I'm not. He wasn't as good as you guys say and a huge part of the reason the defense is so bad is because of him right now. Can't stand him. Don't see how you guys don't see it.

you are wasting your time man. She is dug in on this one. She will never change her opinion. Many of us have showed her how wrong it is, but facts do not matter to her when it comes to Lovie.

Well your a dick with ears so you aren't really qualified to talk about anything, putz.

I know everyone can say that is probably very similar with most teams. I disagree. Teams that are top teams have winning or .500 records against the top teams. I think Lovie was 20 games below teams that were .500 or above. and 30 above teams with .500 or below.

This sounds about right. He was also 14-47 when trailing at the half. That's not an excellent coach, I don't care what you guys say.

People still giving it to Lovie. He has stayed out of the spot light and done his own thing and people do not like that.

If he got out and promoted himself people would not like that either.

Lovie still cannot win with you people.

Yep.

I dont have the HATE for Lovie

I actually think he is a Good Leader. He always kept things under control. His defense was overrated and stats show that over time, but thats was his calling card.

dont think anyone can argue with the offensive side of the ball, Lovie was close to clueless and his inability to hire an OC was kind of amazing. did he have 5 OC's in 8 years?

Most ironic part is that if Lovie ever could have found Tressman, he might still be here...even though I think this defense would still suck due to injuries right now.

I actually hope Mel Tucker keeps his job because there are just too many injuries here for a full evaluation and 1 full year of him coaching guys , with next years new roster, I look forward to a big jump in defense for this team with a slight improvement in the offense.

SUPER BOWL! And I am serious

So this "new" guy sure seems to know quite a bit and of course has plenty of comments for me.

Just a new guy out of nowhere huh.

I believe lovie was 13-40 against teams .500 or better .

He stayed so out of the spotlight that when his name comes up he always says he is done?

I dont care what he does. he would make a great D coach for a team with a really good offense.

I personally hated his style of defense. Its "The Bully defense" It loads up on stats v lesser teams and does poorly v Good teams. As some have even said here "they would be surprised if he wasnt a head coach in 2014" Why? This league has gone with such an offensive slant, why in the world would you hire the guy who was basically fired because he didnt have an offense for 8 years and couldnt find an OC that got anything done?

Houston Texans, TB Buccaneers are the two most mentioned.

He's been paid (quite well) to stay quiet and away from Chicago pro football fans who see all that is flawed with the Bears as being his fault. After all, he drafted and signed every player. He hired every assistant, coordinator, equipment person, and administrative support person. He was responsible for the donuts on media days. He is the one who brokered inter-family peace for the McClaskey clan. It was even Lovie who hired the man who fired him.

So yes, all that is wrong with the Bear is the result of Lovie. Now and on into the future, or until he gets hired by another team.
