Let's see no more of this jumping in the air from Cedric Benson.

Yeah but he doesnt play D. Nobody on the entire team has made one good play and its the end of the first quarter. If I was Lovie I would take all the starters out after the 1st quarter, no use risking injury in this game, they showed what they needed to in my opinion

I'd still play out the second half, but good point on the defense. It looks like they can't stop anyone- they're getting no rush, and the mid-level pass has been wide open ever since the deep strike to Berrian.

Yeah, I still havent made up my mind whether the Bears are this good, or the 49ers(without Gore) are this bad. If it is the former even Rex Grossman wont stop them from getting to the Super Bowl

seriously!!!!!!!! this 49ers defense is so damn embarrassing. Anybody on this board would cover Berrian tighter then the 49ers are

Berrian might be ready to take a big step forward this year. I know the guy fell down, but most times DBs fall down, it's not just luck- it's cause you snapped his ankles.

He is one of the guys I wanted to see this game. The Bears WR corps has scary potential. I cant even remember the last time somebody could say that about the Bears WR's. I know it is preseason, but the team is looking great so far, even Rex

Yeah, this is reaching "Harlem Globetrotters-Washington Generals" territory. Actually, much like the regular season game last year.

pleeeeaaseeeee...... The Washington Generals would be embarrassed. The entire 49ers team looks like Paul Crew in The Longest Yard

Maybe the refs were just trying to buy the 49ers some field position with that penalty.

The only players I am paying close attention to by now will be Orton, Daniel Manning, and the DT's

Hunter Hillenmeyer does not get enough credit for what he does. In a system where the DTs aren't massive, someone needs to tie up blockers, and that's often Hunter. On that last play, he absorbed two blockers and still stretched the play out to force it outside, eventually making the tackle.

lol I know this might be getting redundant but the 49ers continue to top theirselves in shittyness. Alex Smith just Grossman'ed the snap.

Yeah no kidding, he was just responsible for more 49ers yards gained then they will get in 1 single drive the rest of the night

Plus he was catching the ball at the 5 yard line. You never do that.

True, forgot that point, yeah thats a definite no no. Im actually surprised the 49ers punched it in, I thought the Bears would stuff em on 4 downs.

Elsewhere in the league, Houston (or at least Houston's stats) are looking good against Dallas. There's still time to jump on the Texans' bandwagon! Plenty of room!

Ha! Romo just hit T.O. on a 35 yard pass for a TD.

Is that game on somewhere? Has Amobi Okoye done anything?

He hasn't recorded any tackles yet. Dunta Robinson was also injured on that play. My power to jinx has no bounds.

I actually see them being competitive this year and good in the next couple years. Similar to the Raiders in terms of young, good Defense. 7-9 this year in a very tough division and conference

Dallas just missed the extra point- everything old is new again.

I've heard that there are a lot of doubts floating around NFL front offices about Okoye. A LOT of doubts.

Yeah I have heard similar things, but there are also alot of people who hate on Mario and I think he will end up at the very least a pro bowler. IDK if thats worth a 1st overall pick, but he will be good I think. Demeco Ryans is also a stud, probably the steal of the draft last year, him or Mark Anderson

Yeah this is Good Rex except for the botched snap. It doesnt really impress me tho. I will be impressed by Rex when I see him fumble and throw 2 pics in the game..... then lead a 4th quarter comeback TD drive. If he can learn to overcome his mistakes and not let it quicksand his entire game, he will be a very good QB in this league. I just am unsure if he is ready to do that

Why has Cleo Lemon thrown 8 passes tonight so far (still in 2nd qtr.) Is Trent Green injured again?
