4-6 weeks for a broken shoulder. Here we are in Week 7 and you barely hear a whisper about him.

Doing low-end lawyer commercials for some lawyer last I saw.

The Coach says he might have some rust.

Jay had rust last week.

I just want to know where was McCowns rust?

The problem is that due to the nature of the injury, not only has Briggs not been able to lift weights, he also hasn't been allowed to run. I'd think he'd be pretty soft out of the gate.

They have a pill for that. He'll know what gap to be in. That and his leadership should help.

Khaseem Greene has been horrible. He overruns everything. When he is in a position to make a tackle he misses. Simply being in the right place and playing the part of a roadblock will be an improvement.

It was only eight weeks. I am sure he could do other cardio like stationary bike.

Briggs won't be a problem. It is really looking like the Bears will wrap this up Sunday night.

I would rather have Briggs out there at not 100% and a little out of shape over anyone else on the roster. And we cannot underestimate the mental aspect of him being out there will do for the rest of the guys

I also agree, but lets not get ahead of ourselves (Nas) saying this thing will be wrapped up Sunday night. I certainly hope that is the case, but I think its pretty clear that given the Bears defense, or lack thereof, and the Eagles offense, of the 3 teams fighting for the NFC North crown its the Bears that have the biggest challenge this weekend to get the W.

This is a team that's lost to the Redskins, Lions x2, Vikings and Rams. The supposedly genius coach has blown at least two games and nearly blown a few more. A team that has shat the bed in the past two seasons when the playoffs are on the line.

The complete confidence in the "new" Bears is odd.

The Eagles have the 2nd worst passing defense in football. Cutler is going to destroy their secondary. The Bears have the 2nd ranked scoring offense in the NFL and are in the top 7 in passing and rushing. Getting Briggs back will definitely help the Bears rushing defense and there pass defense is pretty good already (ranked 11th). Being at home helps the Eagles a little but I'm taking Cutler 10 times out of 10 going up against Foles in an important game. Bears will win decisively.

Its also a team that beat the Packers in Lambeau, the entire AFC North, and completely dismantled the Cowboys.

The Bears were usually getting injured at this time of year and now they are actually getting healthy. Even with all the things you mentioned the Bears are still 2nd in scoring and in the top 7 in rushing and passing. Getting Briggs back will help their rushing defense compliment their 11th ranked passing defense. I'm excited! Feeling kind of Jolly. :P

Kirkwood is just trying to distract himself from the mess his own team is in right now.

You noticed he didn't mention the Thanksgiving Massacre?

That's actually a really huge indictment of the Bears. Beating the Rodger-less Packers by only 7 shows how much of a paper tiger the Bears are.

We did it with our high school coach/QB. Ted Thompson doesn't believe in the Packers either. He may actually be a Bears fan.

Let's also not forget that Ratliff is flashing top end level DT play

O'B didn't see it. I saw it but not enough of it. Hopefully he is ready this week.

Then OB is blind. He was statistically pretty good but even the eyeball test showed him as the only defensive lineman getting pressure.

Jennings will do fine against Jackson when they do throw.

Well,OB is coming back from falling and hitting his head. I don't know if anyone else mentioned that on here.

I think Peppers is going to have a big game too. I would like to see Paea starting next to Ratliff and Wootton moved to the outside. McClellin only needs to see the field in obvious passing downs. There is talk of Bostic moving to the outside too. That may be a better fit for his skill set.
