i went under to get my wisdom teeth pulled. i remember feeling all badass with my drug constitution being !!! so when they had me count backwards from 100 i was thinking "you're gonna need a bigger #"

i was out by 75.

i had a wayward tooth pulled in the back of my mouth last year on the stroger plan, and lordy lordy when they whip out those giant metallic needles i dont care what the actual feeling is, that shit's scary. i'd much rather have had the gas and thus no recollection of that needle (especially cuz i had to hear some poor lady a few rooms down screaming her lungs out intertwined with the sound of the drill. crikey)

My mother was a tough German and for whatever reason felt that painkillers at the dentist were unnecessary (maybe it cost more?). So growing up we never got numbed prior to drilling.

Now, not so much. Be it the dentist or for a colonoscopy, I always opt for max dosage. It really does make the whole experience almost pleasant
