Blitz the linebackers every play. No line stunts! Bullrush the offensive line,occupy the blockers and have your linebacking crew charge the gaps.

You can blitz one,two or all three every play but it has to get done. These guys are historically bad,so if you are going to try something on defense,try attacking. A new zone coverage is just another excuse to sit back and get ripped to shreds.

Having guys in gaps wasn't the problem. Guys were in gaps. However, they either overran the gap (Bostic), hit the wrong gap or couldn't shed a block (Briggs).


I honestly think more blitzing would have meant a higher Eagles score.

I'm not joking when I ask this , Briggs played yesterday ?

I'm beginning to think firing Tucker is less of a rash, reactionary decision than I previously thought. There's no doubt most of his squad sucks, but they are mostly veteran players. The Bears gave up only 17 points per game last year with the same safeties, and outside of Bostic I think everyone else is experienced. I think with good coaching the ceiling for this type of veteran defensive personnel, accounting for injuries, is something like 18-20 in rank, not dead last or nearly dead last. Not confident at all for what he can do going into next year.
