Could turn out to be the worst contract in sports history...depending on whether Pujols bounces back.

Read where Steven Drew turned down a 1 year 14 million qualifier from Boston which was a 5 million raise from his 2013 salary. So let me get the straight, some team out there is going to give a shortstop who hit .253 with 13HR's and a .777 OPS more than 14 million a year with multiple years? Lordy, the madness just won't stop.

The Braves have signed Gavin Floyd to a 1yr/$4M deal. The one year contract also includes $4.5 million in performance-based incentives.

That seems to be the going rate for a pitcher coming back from arm surgery though this one has quite a bit in incentive money. They're hoping he's ready by mid-May. I have my doubts. This probably takes the Braves out of the Jeff Samardzija trade market.

In the old days, Id expect Floyd to win 19 games and have his best season. Not sure Braves have the Magic anymore
