It's confirmed Crean is the wrong guy. For Indiana to be considered "back" they can't be losing to teams tiers below them like the Illinois Try-Hards.

Illinois was favored and has beaten Indy there in 11 of 12 years.

I'm kind of disappointed it was that close at home.

With 23 IU turnovers Illinios should have won that by 15 points

I agree. Illinois is not good.

But they do battle.

Illinois is fine. This figured to be a down year and they're probably better than most expected. This is a scrappy team capable of beating anyone on a given night.

I think you are overestimating Indiana. They are right there in the 2nd tier Big 10 scrum for tourney spots with Illinois and about 4 others.

That's my point I'm horribly arguing. It's Creans 6th year. Unacceptable.

Fischer has also left the program, walked in and told Crean at 10:00 yesterday morning. I have not heard any reason why, I talked to his dad right before Christmas and he didn't mention a thing about him being unhappy.

I am not in town but have talked to several mutual friends and nobody knows anything. I am thinking he may have gotten homesick as he was a only child. But, I highly doubt that Crean would let him transfer to Wisconsin if that is what he is thinking so we shall see.

You said he's a highly skilled big man so he'd be perfect for Wisconsin. Of course Crean wouldn't know how to use Luke.

Also, it just came out about 2 hours ago, that Fischer is transferring to Marquette.

So is Crean's act finally wearing on IU fans? Glad to see Fischer wind up at MU.

I don't know this for fact and will find out, but I don't think Crean had anything to do with Fischer leaving. I just he got homesick and wanted to get closer to home. He still wants to play and with a possibility of going to the next level. The only sensical selection for him was Marquette.

There are many in the Kirkwood fire Crean camp, IU fans are not the most patient bunch. Last year's underachievement with such a talented team has caused a lot of concern. If the team fails to make the tournament this year his seat will get very hot.

Personally, I am still supportive of him and I think he has done a real good job rebuilding things after the mess of Sampson. But that will only take him so far.

Unless things just completely tank this year, I expect he will get one more year to show his worth before anything would happen.
