Rozner and Bernsie just said that there are conflicting reports on twitter and the thought that he was playing may have jumped the gun...

They both did it.

And it is official Rodgers will start

And now Barry will play the "So much confusion about Rodgers starting, false rumors, etc. " card

Rozner is saying that Rodgers was taking a beating in Green Bay the last couple of weeks, people saying he is soft, etc.

Any of you Wisconsin/Green Bay guys...can you confirm/deny this?

Maybe from a handful of meatball dumbasses exemplified by the rodgers thread on here today but the ones taking the beating were the team Dr. and Ted Thompson. Most believe Rodgers himself and MM were ready for him to return last week if not the week before and that the Dr. was who is known to be extremely conservative was ready to clear him and TT wouldn't allow it.

This clearly is different than a guy going out there and playing at less than 100% with a sore knee or something like that. If there are higher than normal chances Rodgers can't take a hit on the left side, or cannot hit the ground with his left side without causing more harm to that shoulder, he really shouldn't be playing. He is without question one of the best two or three QBs in the game right now, and if a normal hit could cause him to have a serious injury or undergo surgery than the Packers are doing themselves a huge disservice in letting him go out there and play.

Being that its Packers and Bears on Sunday is irrelevant in my eyes.
Packers & Bears is irrelevant. Play-offs is not.
I guess what I'm not clear on is what the actual risk is. Is it more than just re-breaking his collarbone? If that were to happen and the season ends, what is the long term negative affect on the team? Possible surgery and re-hab on his non-throwing shoulder as a worst case? 100% by 1st pre-season game? I say it's his call...and my guess is he has a more receptive audience at this point.

Two days after quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned to the starting lineup, the Packers activated wide receiver Randall Cobb from injured reserve, the club announced this afternoon.

This is a huge deal. Bowman and Jennings have played pretty well. But Bears don't have anyone who could cover a slot WR like Cobb. Though, might be speaking too soon since who knows how much if any snaps he'll play.

Cobb isn't ready. He won't be a factor. The Packers are going all in on this one. When the Bears win that victory is going to be even sweeter.

It's like the Bears read everything you've posted the past two weeks and done the exact opposite.

I've noticed. Meatball Nas may be retiring when it comes to the Bears.

Great day to be a fan. I'm going to enjoy the next couple of days. I'm sure we'll lose next week but who cares right now.

Rodgers throwing that pass to Cobb reminded me of Favre to Sharpe in the 93 Wild Card game at Detroit.

Harbaugh could tell the Packers which running play is going to happen and we wouldn't stop it.

Rushing:
Kaepernick 115 yards
Gore 153 yards
Hunter 68 yards

The greatest regular-season game of Aaron Rodgers’ career. I asked him where the 33-28 NFC North title game win ranked, the one with the 48-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb on 4th-and-8 with 46 seconds left to win it. “There’s the Super Bowl, and then the Atlanta playoff game that year,” he said from Green Bay late Sunday night upon arriving home from the win in Chicago. “Then this game. Today’s in the top three of all of my games. It was special, for so many reasons.” Including some eye-opening words about the team physician we all assumed he hated.

Anyone know what he said about the team physician?

That's classic. I got to enjoy the game while in Peabody's Ale House in downtown Oshkosh. Crazy fun atmosphere...very little complaining about the refs too. My buzz was made complete by tuning into Doug & O.B. while perusing this messageboard. The schadenfreude was absolutely through the roof.

I don't know how they'll fare in the playoffs having barely survived the Bears. Quintessential wildcard team.

I meant WC team as in unpredictable. Dangerous with Rodgers and all, but then again he just came back from injury and so did Cobb. Matthews is out (not sure if he's coming back?), and so is Finley, so there are a lot of things going on here that make it difficult to prognosticate the likelihood of them winning or losing.

The NFL made it through the 2013 regular season with just two games blacked out on local TV due to sluggish ticket sales. Could that number be matched during this weekend's wild-card round? Cincinnati, Green Bay and Indianapolis all reportedly have thousands of tickets still available for Saturday and Sunday's action, leaving all three spots in some danger of falling shy of a sellout.

Surprised to see Green Bay on that list.

Best fans in the NFL should have no problem selling out a playoff game

The packers only have season tix. That report is not right.

It's correct. The season ticket holders didn't bite when they were asked to fork up cash for play-off tickets in November when things looked decidedly grim. Expanding capacity of the stadium to 80K+ (3rd largest in NFL) also factors in...although I'm guessing the surplus will be gone by Thursday.
