The position coach is the real villain here, not Frazier.

AGREE WITH EVERY WORD. I'd share Dan's anger if the player in question were anyone but fucking Chris Kluwe, the moth of the internet.

He was a paraplegic.

So he probably had a harder time raising his hand as he rolled past Conte. I'll give it to you.

43 of gordon's 67 yards that game came on a garbage time TD pass where you guessed it: Chris Conte was late getting over to the sideline to break up the deep pass while playing cover 2.... watching the highlight just now... conte literally was 25 yards off the line of scrimmage at the snap....backed up 5 more yards after the snap.... there was no WR running a pattern near him other than gordon... and conte was still late getting over (taking a bad angle too boot).... Conte is amazingly bad at football.

He was only average because the special teams coach asked him to kick higher and shorter because their coverage sucked.

Kluwe is a little smug though, isnt he?

Well I thought his article while in training camp with the Raiders this summer was interesting. In the article he admitted the other guy was better and that was before he got cut.

Yeah, he's a thoughtful guy. I think he's falling in love with himself since he became the gay rights warrior

More than a little. Even reading that article he comes across as kind of a jag and he wrote it about himself.

What did Frazier do other than relate that the team wanted him to tone down the PR stuff? I'd have to reread it but it seems somewhat reasonable for a coach to try to manage how focused a player is during the season.

Seems like there was some miscommunication since the owner apparently wanted Kluwe to keep speaking.

But the smugness can not be denied

Seems like it would be an easy thing to get to the bottom of. Sounds like there were many witnesses to the gay-hater coach's statements.

Kluwe's just taking the fact that he plays at a non-brain-damaging position and lording it over everyone. Poor Brian Urlacher can't even spell reddit.

Dan Bernstein will not stand for someone saying they want to wipe out a mass amount of people just because he disagrees with a choice they have made.

I'm glad Dan is getting a chance to flex his social-justice muscles before it's time to sing the praises of giant corporations.

Who would have guessed that the biggest victim of anti-gay sentiment would be Chris Kluwe? Let's not worry about the injustices that gay people have to deal with. A kicker couldn't find a job because he did too many radio interviews!

It's quite fitting Kluwe is both a reddit and deadspin poster. Encapsulates him perfectly.

I wonder if he was making some sort of political statement when he would always punt directly to Devin Hester.

Things I love right now:

-That every coachless team should be searching for a coach exactly like Marc Trestman

-Both of them speaking at length about Seattle defensive coordinator Tom Cable, who is, of course, actually Seattle offensive line coach Tom Cable

-The fact that Detroit's coaching list "sucks" and that "they need. An offensive. Guy." despite the fact that the list includes Ken Whisenhunt, who has appeared in a Super Bowl and demonstrated consistent success anytime he's had a decent QB

You should text that. Whisenhunt also worked here with Big Ben.

They've had a bad year so far in the "knowing things about sports" category.

Jesus, they're spiraling into "Ron Artest doesn't even play defense" territory.
