I was told recently that the tiny one has his own show these days on WGN. FM

Apparently it airs on WGN's freeform alternate online station. He follows Jonathon Brandmeier. Johnny B airs from 6-9 am and Harry Teinowitz follows him. I suspect it may be a temporary gig, until they can fit him into a regular spot on the regular WGN team. But I am glad to see the "Tiny One" has found a gig. I know that I am in the minority on this, but I miss him with Carmen and Jurko. I wish him good luck. I won't be listening to his show, because his time slot runs against Mac's show, followed by Carmen and Jurko (for the last hour, unless Mac is not on... in which case they get tuned in all day) but perhaps someday soon he will get a shift on WGN that will give him a better opportunity for some of his former listeners to tune in. Best of luck Harry!

Monday January 6th will be the next day Harry broadcasts.

Since Mac couldn't make it in today, I am listening to Harry on wgn.fm just to see what his show sounds like. I may switch over to Carmen and Jurko shortly, but what I have heard so far, is okay. He has a sidekick, not sure who the guy is.

Talking a lot about the movies nominated for Academy Awards.

Still has a daily Almanac segment

The rolodex of humor is intact. Just used the Volleyball -rotate joke.

Signed off at 11:20-switching to Carmen and Jurko. I feel like they are almost all back together! Except J.D. is subbing for Jurko :(

Yep, all back together! Except for, you know, Mac being on a different station and not in today, Jurko not in today, and Harry doing an online podcast.

But they're all together!

I was obviously referring to Carmen Jurko and Harry. Unfortunately, Jurko as I mentioned was off today. It was nice to hear Tiny's voice again. i know many feel differently, but he's a friend and I have missed his contributions. glad to be able to tune him in again. Unfortunately I won't have the opportunity to listen to wgn.fm much during the day, so I am hoping WGN gives him a regular slot in the afternoon that I can tune into.

What are the chances they had more than 25 listeners? What if only Steve was listening?

Can they even monitor the number of listeners, on-line? I would imagine WGN would want to see if Tiny can get a decent number before giving him a gig on 720.

Actually he is. How would you have any idea about such a thing? Just because you may not have developed any personal friendships with any of the on-air personalities, doesn't mean nobody else has. But feel free to continue to comment about things you know nothing about. It is your M.O. afterall.

Well you opened the thread with this:
Quote:

I don't think it is illogical to assume that if you were friends with him, you would have heard it straight from the horse's mouth. And the fact that you posted this on January 2nd and Harry has been tweeting about it since the beginning of December adds to the confusion. I think a reasonable conclusion would be that if he hadn't spoken to you within a month and spoke about a life altering change, that you probably weren't friends.

I didn't say we were best friends who speak on a weekly basis. I sent him a holiday card during Hanukkah and heard back from him, telling me about the new show, so I posted about it. I'm not making more of it than it is. I'm just happy for Harry and yeah, he's my friend. Whether he's on a radio station or not.

First of all, you don't know what you are talking about .....again. I said I sent him a card during Hanukka. So he got it just before Christmas. Of course everyone responds to mail IMMEDIATELY, so why I didn't hear from him in the next couple days is inexplicable.

As far as name dropping and bragging, I could be doing a lot more of it, but have learned over the past couple years from mentioning having worked with well known actors , that the reaction would likely be negative. Rather than congratulations... I'm happy for you.... That must have been fun....it was jealousy and derisive comments. So I stopped mentioning things. I'm doing things now that surpass anything I have before, but I know what the reaction would be should I mention it.

I only posted that thread BECAUSE Harry is a friend. I was passing on the information for anyone who might want to listen to Harry's show, to help him get some addional listeners. That's what friends do. They do what they can to support one another.

That's cool, Steve. I know that if one of my friends got a new job in October, I would have known about it in October. Maybe you're just a really shitty friend.

Not sure where else to put this but here it goes...

Harry Teinowitz is on STL with Kaplan right now. He looks like he's lost 100 lbs! Anybody know what's up with him? Did he join the 2015 Commitment to Excellence?

His suit no longer fits.

Tiny should host this show over Kaplan.

Ha, good stuff. It's up on the website now. Tiny appears at about 2:10. The Jordan Bernfield Sports Talk guy mannequin can be seen before that.
