express thread because the Hawks have broken my spirit with their twelve goals and five points in the last five games. THIS IS EDMONTON GUYS THEY CAN'T STOP A BEACH BALL.

Enjoy the namesake here, unless you're JORR, in which case you hate anything related to Tortoise.

I'm starting to get that negative feeling, CH. This team reminds me of 2012 as well. Everyone here knows I'm optimistic about the Hawks but I like to think it's because I'm realistic. I just knew that team last season was the best early on and anything less than the Cup was a bust.

This year I'm not as confident anymore. The offense is whatever, it's slumping, I get it. The offense is fine. The team D and goaltending though has been so inconsistent all season. So many times they leave guys open in situations they didn't last season. I always felt confident when they were in their own zone last season, I don't at all this season. Once that puck gets behind the goal line I'm waiting for the worst to happen. It's past the half way mark, it's time they get it going.

I don't buy the Ducks hype though, CH. They just don't do anything for me, much like last season. The Blues however are Cup contending team and are starting to the scare the shit out of me. They're ready to win a Cup for sure.

Anyways, gays. I haven't posted much during the games this season because I'm playing in an NHL 14 league on PS3 (I'm gay, I know) so I'm doing that while watching the games and don't have time to post most of the time. Keep up the good work though.

By the way, CH, I PM'ed you about the Islanders trying to get out of their lease in Brooklyn. Help me out with that because I'm trying to talk to my friend who's an Islanders fan about it but he says he's heard of no such thing. Or maybe I just misread what you said about it in that thread.

Time to beat up on the bums again.

In other parts of the hockey world, I woke this morning to the news that Paul Marice has a job again...Winnipeg...have fun with that.

I love Q's stupid quotes in today's paper. How are those line shuffles working for you? "I think we play better when we're ahead." Lol.

Keith pretty much has to die at this point to not win the Norris.

Shaw was slashed by the oilers goalie. Raanta left then Kane put it off the board to pass to the defense and it went in our goal.

He has to overcome P.K. Subban. More goals than Keith plus the plays-for-the-Canadiens multiplier.

Of course it is, but never underestimate the voters' ability to make a dumb pick because the Western Conference is Here There Be Monsters territory. Remember Brandon Saad losing ROTY to that overrated Huberdeau?

This...weakened even more by the fact that the Hawks are the only Original 6 team in the West now.
